Yes. It was a major with a bad format. A badly structured major is still a major. It doesn’t take away the fact that FNATIC are the first team to win two “majors”, not to mention back-to-back.
VCT and Riot considers Lock/In a Val equivalent of a major....it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks imo....I mean it's Ur game and Ur tournament....so I'm sure I will not be the one to decide...which tournament is a major and which isn't.... people really like to cope tho.... it's hard for them to digest this
Subreezy [#3]i just call these things international events, cause the cs:go fans are gonna "um, actually" your ass if you call them majors
“um, actually, champions is the only event considered to be a major” 🤓
vitzsu [#6]100K for the winner that shit was the equivalent of a showmatch for tourneys 🤣
just check the real majors prize and compare
🏆 > 💰
For sure, lock in was a tournament with a very poor format, although is the tournament with the most teams. Sure ppl will say since majority of the teams were new and bairly played together, but the same happened to fnatic. They added 2 new players aswell and did an incredible run and ppl still kept saying it was a lucky run, now with tokyo, ppl wont say that anymore. Now the teams and fans will fear fnatic on champions.
Tbh, in my opinion any international stage is a big major. Ppl will complain now but i see any masters the same as champions. Champions only have few extra teams with less quality. The pressure of any international event is the same, being champions or not.
vitzsu [#13]it goes to show the value of it though
yes goes on to show how much of a low value person are you, 3-11, lost lock//in, bombed out of playoffs and got humiliated, sit down mf

thank you starxito site i guess i am a low value person because of valorant.
aTastyCook1e [#11]Nope.
Os pesadelos do lockin, depois de perder em terreno nacional. Percebo e boa sorte com os Loud na champions, eles teem muito mais para mostrar do que fizeram em Tokyo.
Okoretro [#15]you know exactly that if loud won you guys wouldve said its a major XDDDD
Of course all the kids shouting we won againts 31 teams this is biggest major💀💀
vitzsu [#17]thank you starxito site i guess i am a low value person because of valorant.
your ridiculous takes made you
DDot [#12]tbh winning lock in is more difficult. All it takes is one bad day and your out of the tournament
finally someone with a brain. To everyone that seems to be confused, yes it was a major, and it was harder because single elimination. Most CS tourneys are single elim in the end stages, why you all complaining?
CowboySG2 [#22]Can't call it a major if literally everyone gets in for free. Or I guess congrats to KC, Kru, DFM, FPX, etc for a major appearance lol.
We shouldn’t even be comparing CS:GO and VALORANT terms in the first place. They’re two different games with two different formats.

Agreed. Lock in was an international event to celebrate franchising. Hope to never see it happen again though.
