Is it me or is this event not hitting like all the other lans?
capital_d_colon [#3]Might have to do with timezones.
Also I think this event was way too overhyped, alot of the teams aren't matching my expectations.
So many dominant 2-0s
I think its not that bad, a couple underdog runs with the clear overdogs in fnc, just think that sadly EG and fnc were so above the competition in their side of the bracket those games were just stomps.

I think it hurts the event that there was alot of underperformers.
For me I would characterise the teams like this:
Low expectations: T1, ASE, FUT
Underperformers: Loud, DRX, NAVi
Competitive teams: EDG, Liquid, NRG, PRX (though prx pains me because of what could've been)
"Overdogs": EG, FNC
and so far in the playoffs the series were only close between teams in the same category.
Sweeps (2-0/3-0) in masters playoffs:
Tokyo: 7 (so far, 4 games left)
Reykavik: 6
Copenhagen: 5
kroton07 [#14]Always the western audience that think everything should be tailored for them smh
Correct
The whole western audience held a summit and voted this guy as our spokesperson π΅βπ«

How could you possibly get this from what I said?

fraudmea really is the greatest region in the world
I'd say it's because the heavy hitters and title contenders didn't show up and thus earned themselves an early exit (NAVI, LOUD, DRX). TL, despite being EMEA's 1st Seed, didn't have a great showing either. NRG have been inconsistent in their matches even if they've secured a Top 4. PRX is missing something and people were excited to see him on the international stage. EG and FNC matches have been an absolute stomp with no real competition in sight except their own matchup as they seem so far ahead of every other team at this event. The only team that's been a pleasure to watch is EDG because they were heavy underdogs with something to prove and that's exactly what they did. So now the only thing that's left really is this EG vs FNC matchup which should be the best match in this event, assuming it's not a stomp for either side which I don't believe it will be. Regardless of which team comes out on top in the NRG vs PRX matchup, they both should lose the next match. EG is the unstoppable force whilst FNATIC is the immovable object. It's an even worse scenario if PRX wins against NRG and FNATIC loses against EG because then PRX will get stomped by them, again. The GF is realistically an EG vs FNC rematch
