no igl?

realistically how long can this prx team last?
like them being a consistent top 8 team itw with no igl, and this playstyle

if they get something, they can reach upper finals at the very least

Depends on how much weird strats that works alecks can make

Everyone calling seems to be working just fine + no dedicated igl = better overall performance

Tbh I could see it catch a couple of teams off guard but that might just be wishful thinking

liquid managed to be a pretty good for ages team without an IGL, so theres some precedent that it can work, and their playstyle also fits the team structure
so... probably forever? we'll have to see if they're able to adapt after a loss/hard antistrat, but realistically they should be able to

obviously they'll still be super dependent on individual skill, but that hasn't stopped them so far

the main worry imo is that they themselves will struggle to antistrat, which is a huge damper on actually winning an international event

they still had an igl. they didnt have a natural igl, but the role was always defined, it may have been shifted from time to time. but at every point there was a fixed igl.
and liquid didnt do that well, probably ever. they had the strongest firepower in the pre franchise era (prx also have good fp), that was what carried them to international events. if you want mediocre success like liquid, then sure yeah....

I think to beat them you need to fundamentally change the way you play, like early drx

sliggy also ranted mentioned that he had to take over all the IGL duties when it comes to pre-match preparation so I dont think its that different to the prx structure

Regarding the firepower: I definitely agree (hence why I also mentioned it as a major factor for prx) but liquid also cooked a tooooon xD they had some of the wildest comps and strats - they only went to Reykjavik in 2021 due to inventing the post plant meta, they got destroyed the qualifier before

you can antistrat tendencies so ig that's the main point you'd go to vs prx, but im just wildly guessing

imma leave that up to the teams in champs when prx have their full roster, we'll see what they prepare

yea lets see. i definitely have more faith in prx being able to win a tournament than i had in 2022 or 21 liquid

someone is going to be calling the rounds, whether or not its as basic as "go A"; thats still the IGL.

Igl isn’t a solo job it’s not like no one else is allowed to make calls lmfao, prx just have a system that has d4v4i + duelists making most of the calls
