Who is the best IGL?

just wondering what people think because this seems kind of hard to judge sometimes. shahzam, boaster, ange1 come to mind for me

boaster. his stream is by far the most educational i’ve ever watched. he’s top fragging on astra while giving insight to his positioning and comms.

overall it’s hard for fans to judge who’s the best IGL. so much happens behind the scenes, as far as strats, comms, and chemistry.

u can never mesure this, u can be the best igl out there leading shit players so no one knows about u or vice versa

I like Ang1 and lowel

I choose shahzam because beside his basic quality as igl which already pretty good, he can control TenZ on what to do and what not to do.
He is the lone strategist and the one who review the enemy playstyle, watch old VOD, etc. And the coach too. Basically because SEN don't have analyst and coach so he do that too. That's what I think made him best igl.

2nd goes to boaster, because his strategy is so damn good. Watch some of his stream, when he analyze about post plant or line up or something with technical explanation is so great.

i'd say ShaZaM since idk any other igl's and he is on the best roster in valorant so..........

ik but he's my friend and i compare his level from corgi i think he's one of the best ik it was old times etc. but he's good maybe im delusional idk

shaz. arguably a better player than tenZ at lan. his jett at lan was insane

Shaz by far EU and Kr is ass

I feel like Shahz is the best at reading other teams and has overall makes better decisions mid-round compared to other IGL's, when it comes to developing new strats though I think both Ange1 and Boaster are better

Shaz is insane but Vanity's calls were also insane I would like to add he really led that team to beat Liquid.

yeah, that was kinda meant as a disclaimer. from what i see and hear from streams, boaster is 1 fantastic IGL. i don’t hear shahz explain as much. shahzam’s team beat boaster’s team, of course, so something is up.

The issue is you're equating someone being educational as being a good IGL. You can be educational and be a mediocre IGL. As an IGL, your team all conveys information and an IGL decides what to do next based on information gathered. Hell, even Boaster/Shahz creating strats for each map and hero pool doesn't change the fact that that's not made during a game. That's great coaching, which is different.

I agree that it's hard to tell who is the best IGL, but the fact that Shahz has been around for a while and been highly successful, I'd have to give an educated guess and say he's the best IGL.
