What if riot puts a pay wall (with a lot of different features)+ free stream both at the same time
America's league have 300k avg watching and peak 500k watching
EMEA league has 288k watching and avg 117k watching
Pacific league has 366k peak watching and around 196k avg watching
What if let's just say from all the league only mere 5000 people subs and riot puts a subscription price of 300INR (3.63 almost 4 USD)
Then also riot will make
5000 × 300 = 1,50,000 (inr)
In USD 18k dollars per league
18k × 3 =54k
From all the three league this number can increase very much if they give many features

What features could they put that would even be worth it? Also -200000 viewers

I refuse to pay. I don't pay for shit. My main entertainment is youtube. Most of the games I play are free. If I had to pay for air, then I ain't breathing.

wtf bruh : first let everyone watch esports let it grow popular to level that there will be its national stream ON tv and SPORTS channels FOX sports and ESPN ; then only these pay per service will work

Here’s how they can incentivize it:

1. Finish the ingame spectator client
2. Allow players to watch the tournaments through the game
3. Put a paywall NOT BEHIND watching the main stream (observation locked to what the observers choose), but behind a “unlocked view” where they can watch any player they choose or even free fly around the map, save in-game clips to a specific folder, copy a players crosshair, you get the point.
4. Add custom skin drops or whatnot for players that have this paywalled “unlocked view” client, where they get some points or rewards by watching (make sure it’s stupid addicting, like giving out points every 3-10 minutes, and you have to collect the points and can redeem them for stuff that I’m about to mention)
5. Add team skins to the game, to purchase those team skins, you either need RP, or the addicting points shit, make the team skins the same price as normal skins- but less overall skins to make the $/skin insane to make people resort to the addicting points
6. Add some sort of “lucky drop” system where people can be rewarded those team skins (or maybe just their charms) by watching in the unlocked view
7. Put a price of like 10USD on the “unlocked view” and it only lasts for a split, a season, or a tournament- whatever they want.

I guarantee you this would make money

ik riot is smol indie company but they are definitely not desperate for money atleast not 54k
