what happened to this team?
WinterZ [#8]also what do yall think of stellar, Mikes and Cryo
Stellar is mid
Cryo is the same as he used to be, really high highs and low lows.
actually, it looks like everyone on the roster just individually fell off man, derrek isn't looking great either, they're just there.
WinterZ [#8]also what do yall think of stellar, Mikes and Cryo
Cryo was better than Mikes and Stellar ever have don't keep him in that group
Icysoda57 [#27]Honestly feel like TL is the EU 100T not sure if thats a fair comparison but i believe so
TL a few more LANs but has the exact same vibe of late bloomers that fall short and have rough rebuilds.
WinterZ [#8]also what do yall think of stellar, Mikes and Cryo
MikesHD just isn't as good as a coach as SGares was, simple as that. 100T never was the most cracked team, and they got results with cool strats and solid fundies, and right now it seems like they have neither of those and need to rely on starpower, which is not as strong as Loud, NRG, or C9
WinterZ [#5]they completely fell apart w/o sgares
is Mikes really that bad?

Is sgares really that goated?

TL is actually improving while 100t is not.
Compare 100t with Heretics or Koi, or BBL

bro 100t beat lev. team L cant beat them
WinterZ [#38]Also while we're on this subject what are you guy's thoughts on Asuna, bang and Derrek?
asuna is their best player, bang is pretty inconsistent tho
What do you mean? The best team in North America, 100T, just won Red Bull Home Ground. They recently added Cryo to replace Will, which gives them the necessary firepower to compete against the world's top teams. Unlike other top-tier teams that made multiple player roster changes and need time to perform well, 100T is one of the favorites for Lock In. Bang is on his way to becoming the best controller, Asuna is an impressive flex, and Derrek is a clutch machine. They should have no trouble making it to Lock In Americas playoffs.

ur talking about how 100t isnt improving, its not by luck as all 3 games were close. and koi improved and did their homework on navi.

koi literally played their first game against navi

well 100t r improving,, idc about koi since emea is boring as shit. and maybe because the season just started so hard to counter strat while 100t beat lev in the middle of the season which clearly means they improve.

I think that sgares is experienced enough to question plays and work them back logically to come to a solution. We've seen that time and time again on the broadcast. Is he goated? meh. I think the current landscape of coaches in Valorant is built off of cronyism. Every coach in this league so far is someone who came from a team that was a startup. They were able to build their coach brand off the backs of their players. Sgares and 100T was the only team that didn't do it this way.
I think these coaches get additional space because of the style of calling that goes on in Valorant. NA doesn't run a lot of set plays. If you're calling on the fly there are a ton of variables that you can blame that don't fall on the coach. Logically how can a coach be liable for the plays that go on in the server? It's a flat out buffer zone from getting fired. And since everyone runs the same comp, there again is no risk to the coach.
Coaches basically have the easiest job that they can coast until they hit a series of losses and the community calls into question their ability to coach. The secret is they're all bad and are getting lucky by unexpected wins from the schedule.
