Vlr에 한국인 많은 편임? 그냥 궁금함
I thought you wanted to say 'you learned Korean with comic and webtoon.' In this situation, you don't have to add '으로' and '랑' together. '만화랑 anki로' would be the best answer haha. I just mentioned it cuz u learn Korean. I hope your Korean learning would never face any difficulities! 그래도 한국어 배우려는 거 너무 좋다. 비록 미국에 있지만 하는 일 다 잘되면 좋겠다!
It could be long to explain situation here. I would start my idea mentioning ur sentences. I hope u understand these are subjective and can't represent all.
Val's popularity is not small in Korea. You might have heard there are many PC rooms in Korea. Checking the share of each game played in PC rooms can be used as current popularity trend. Val is now 3rd ranked. Compared with last year, it becomes popular. Riot has done many promotions for Val players in KR server.
But we need to know that League has overwhelming statue in Korean gaming market. Though its power in global is not same with the past, it is still the most popular and most played game in Korea. Referring the share in PC room I mentioned, it has been 1st ranked for 4 years. Except for the launch of Overwatch and battleground, it is almost 1st ranked for a decade. Thus though Val becomes popular, there is still a big mountain, league.(now it has 8 times more shares than VAL in PC room)
I think FPS originally has not gained big popularity in Korea. There has been CSGO but it was not and is not popular. Koreans might prefer AOS or RPG more.
And there is Korean-native FPS game by Nexon(KR gaming comp). It is 'Sudden Attack.' It was launched almost 15 years ago but it has still many heavy users.
Korean birth rate is so low and it is reflected in the inflows of e-sports users.
Those are why VAL is still small compared with League ig.
