also derke and shao were better than yay for a much longer time period too lmao, that alone is enough to call them better. by peak performance, again agree to disagree. not gonna write a loong analysis about that lol, i feel like theres other players who had their peak higher than yay also lmao

Yay was a better chamber, 100%. However Derke is hardly recency bias, given he's been consistently a top 5 performer in his role since 2021. He is one of the most consistent duellists and opers the game has. Most likely next to Yay and Aspas.
Shao was the same. Can't compare yay and shao as it's been awhile since shao played the same role.
All three being mentioned are consistent demons.
Derke was always a slightly better Jett player than yay, and a slightly worse chamber player.

Thank God some one remembers those stats. His fk/fd ratio, KDA, ACS were absurdly high. He had like a 1.8 KD at one point during champs
