Post-plant meta in IceLAN

ppl will see how stupid strong the post-plant meta is during IceLAN.

viper line up, sova shock dart line up, KJ line up etc. will make defusing very difficult with how much time those line up can take away the precious 45 seconds of the clock.

when ppl see their favourite team getting fked by the no skill line up from spawn, I bet you can see plenty of reddit post complaining about it.

I know these are not 'new tactics' and been in the game for a while, but IceLAN will show the post-plant meta true potential and ppl will hate it (and pros will also say it on twitter, making the fans hate it even more).

That's my prediction. Feel free to say if u agree or not

Ofc the post plant strats are strong, a weak post plant strat can lose you the round. Sova, Viper and KJ will obviously be the agents to devise such tactics.

it's very rare to see post-plant lineups in pro play, and I've watched a little of most regions (mainly NA, but that's to be expected). I know a few lineups on Brim, but they're very situational. Perhaps teams value another player fighting on site to prevent a retake over a post plant "baiter" who watches their teammates die to buy time. or maybe we will start seeing post plant lineups in iceland, who knows.

solve this is like in csgo make any type of damage utility have a max amount of time that can stay in the air till it breaks

It requires less skill than other play styles, it's not "just learning line ups", but it's easier. Also it has no counter besides not letting them plant. ("Pushing" is not a counter, you loose so much time, and you can throw the line up from your spawn if necessary)

This is not CSGO. In CS you have the chance to have more util as everyone can throw a smoke, molly, etc. This make it so the retake has to be creative and not just teams baiting spike plant. Just because Liquid lost doesn't make this meta dogshit. Liquid were the worse team today. Accept and move on

Have you seen someone do that? A good player knows at least 3 different places to throw his line ups man. I'm not saying V1 didn't deserve top win, they did. I'm saying it is a low skilled meta, not an unfair meta it's different, Liquid could have done the same, they just were just worse at it

No they weren't worse. In the match how many times did you actually see the post plant meta working? Most of times liquid lost gunfights because they were unprepared like the penny, vanity clutch vs kryptix and scream on ascent. Don't blame the loss on a meta

They were unprepared because they had to play super fast, otherwise they can't defuse. You'll see in FNC vs SEN match

Neither jett or Astra has lineups and they were both very low. TL was just bad accept and move on.

i reckon they should have some kind of anti-utility thing on planted bombs. or maybe make long-range mollies not work on planted bombs. I think lineups are fun on executes etc. but i hate post plant lineups with a passion. And i main viper...

Pretty sure they are adding a sentinel that has a trophy system that blocks projectiles.
