DRX and New Maps

For a while after Pearl and Lotus came out, DRX have had both of them as their perma bans in map picks. In my mind, DRX were one of the best innovative teams in the early days of competitive Valorant so it's weird to see them so slow to adapt to new maps. Why are DRX so behind other teams when it comes to new maps?

DRX focuses on mastering what exists than mastering new things because new maps can be countered easily as time passes so all the time will be wasted. Working on mastering old maps helps a lot because now they will have a meta that's adjusted and it increases the chances to win the map than gambling on new maps

I feel like drx is cautious of playing new maps after they lost fracture against Fnatic (2021 champions) after claiming they're the best fracture team in the world. Their map pool is so strong that they don't need to take the unnecessary risk of playing the new and untested map. They also could be cooking up something but not leaking their starts by playing it against these Pacific teams. They might also just be seeing how the meta is looking like on the new map.

drx hasn't been too innovative in a while, the most i've seen from them lately is their harbor plays but that wasn't originally them who came up with the harbor (maybe on icebox if you're charitable)

I mean some of the strats they come up with become widely used and even end up being named after them
