This tourney has had a weird case of underperforming prodigies and superteams. idk just wanted to point that out
Subreezy [#5]it's cause some people can only shine if they have the team to back them up, if the team chemistry isn't there they're unlikely to solo carry
even more so in such a team dependent game like val where you can get so easily shut down by utility. i'd even argue that at the top level there's no such thing as a solo carry tbh
inkie [#6]? sentinels didn't underperform they lost to a better team lmao
bad take. zekken played awful valorant today, if u couldn't see that on the init pick then u could def see when he wa on duelist. dephh's calling and individual play on split also contributed to their loss (visibly reflected in the toss by him and zekken). so yes, they did underperform.
Perma [#2]Thats why s1mple is the goat, he never underperforms
lies s0mple underperforms and instantly explodes on everybody else lol
Due to format and just some teams having better days. New meta and most teams being new we saw favorites or on paper superteams like TL, SEN, C9, PRX, NRG (them vs loud was a banger but either of those teams if they lost were gonna be put in with this) all did underperform expectations. Give alot of these teams time and we will see in our regional leagues that they will be alot better with time.
People just need to stop over reacting to an exhibition tournament where we see a team like FUT go further than most of those.
Its what i said, its a single elimination with new meta and new teams, the team with the better feeling will win, Liquid didnt show their potential, Mibr didnt show their potential, Sen didnt show their potential, and its ok, just a tournament to present the lock in teams, franchises will be the real deal
