Can't deal with the trolls and stream snipers in ranked anymore. It's like I'm playing with a bunch of ferrets on caffeine. And to top it off, the pros won't let me into procity because I use a judge on cypher. Getting gatekept because of playstyle will never make sense to me, and I know there will be a bunch of braindead silvers saying "Bro they made pro city to get away from YOU!!!" or "You use a judge bro you are literally silver!!". Love when bronze players type this.
Anyways, I want to get better at this game, and I feel like ranked just does not do it for me anymore. Although I will consider playing ranked less, I am wanting to compete in either Knights/other tournaments to gain experience for ascension league next year.
I can play any sentinel, will IGL, and use rifles along WITH a judge. If you are looking for a teammate who has an actual brain, DM me on discord/twitter.

too much ego but tbh he smart for a ranked player but wont know how he´ll handle losing first matches due to no experience or due to his team not being good enough because if he becomes toxic with his teammates thats a big no, if no one wants to play with you because of your attitude it doesnt matter how "smart" you are

What he does in game is not cringe. It's just how the game is made. The reason why the council wouldn't let him in is definitely not because he doesn't conform to community standards.

buying a judge every round is definitely cringe lmao. "community standards' in my sentence simply represents what the comm sees as normal gameplay, not its standard definition. Playing every round/ majority of your rounds and your games with a judge is def not viewed by the community as normal gameplay. There is no argument to be had here.

Whether they like it or not is an entirely different aspect. All I'm saying is that it does not matter that he does fulfill the requirements to join pro city, but gets rejected because everyone basically hates him. Also your definition of community standards is flawed. Using a gun that is in the game from its start + getting to radiant with it might bother players but it cannot be said that it is against community standards because if it was the case he would be banned from comp as well.

i've already stated that i never intended it to align with the formal definition. If its use irks you for some reason, then simply replace it with "what the bulk of the community perceives as a normal playstyle".

If the bulk of the community does not like how he plays the game (a bulk the council is obviously part of) then it by default infringes the #1 rules, which is to be viewed by the council as a player worthy of entry. Maybe if dasnerth promises to deviate from his playstyle and somehow finds people to vouch for him (there's a vouch system in place now), then who knows he might get in idk , but as is, he isn't "being gatekept", the way he plays simply goes against the pro city's singular fundamental requirement.

Maybe let's stop necroing now? as i've said before, there is no argument here. None. Pls.

Let's just agree to disagree but yeah there is an argument because he isn't breaking any rules. It's just the council's decision based on his playstyle, not because of him hurting people's feelings because he's killing them with a judge.

Dasnerth would do well but I do think he has to switch to using primarily rifles unless his team can incorporate his judge into their strats. It be interesting to see how it looks in pro level.

all he has to do is stop playing judge and everyone will be happy to let him into pro city. he goes to hard on his judge only character, which is annoying as well as griefing sometimes. just coz you get 2 kills every round even after playing judge, doesnt mean those 2 were impact frags.
