They can't Shack is Spanish too. Same cases as UCAM, IDex lives in Spain, or Kiles in Case. Idk exactly how the rule goes, idk if it's nationality or residency

residency would make no sense

theres also something to do with if a player plays in a region for long enough

Well Ik, shack and Kiles have been in Spain since they were kids. IDex I think just a couple years? Not sure, he still needs work on his spanish, but I think I heard something about his mom being Spanish. (He is such a wholesome dude tho we love him here)

Anyway, residency would make sense imo because of the 2 split rule, if you are gonna allow players that have played 2 splits to count as regional you might swell count players who have lived in a country for over a year to get their residency

bit late but the rules define those eligible as someone who is "(i) a citizen of a country in the League Territory or holds additional citizenship rights (such as those of the EU) for that League Territory, (ii) a lawful permanent resident, or (iii) the holder of other special status (e.g., refugee or asylum status) in a country in the League Territory"

So for most of the "non Spanish flag but are actually Spanish" players I'd expect it be be citizenship
(though that's very much me talking out of my behind)

Good to know thanks! Yeah I don't think it's the case of any of the players but is good to know resident works too
