To me it's mainly cause it's something we could replicate easily around homes even with improper equipments and circumstances and therefore we understand how it feels to play, simplicity, familiarity, and the understanding of spatial tactics as well as what it takes to play well. American football isn't familiar, rules are weird to me, and after learning about rugby league it feels like rugby league is more understandable with the more toughness
that makes sense, since america is the only country where you'll find an eggball just lying around its the only country where anyone could just throw on a game of american football and everyone would be able to follow and understand everything meanwhile pretty much everyone around the world understands football
