If BBG took SEN's spot, then why are they playing XSET? XSET should be the fourth highest seed, putting BBG as the 5th highest seed. SEN would've been first. Also, then, wouldn't C9 take GENG's spot? Or V1 take Faze's spot? No. More likely, the tournament organizers either seeded the last four teams randomly, or asked some sort of expert on how he would rank the teams and that's how they did it. Because in terms of seeding, BBG < V1 < C9 < ABX, so that's not how they did it either. It's not something like Game +- either, because then C9B would be the highest seed and be playing XSET.
Here's the official ruleset for Challengers: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iHjosZ2E22vxKIqp6R9TJ7G5HoSo8Mk4/view
The eight (8) teams qualifying into Challengers Week 1 from Qualifier 1 will be seeded by the metrics in the order detailed below (ties in one tier will make the next tier determine seeding):
Everyone is tied on Match Win Percentage, so we look at Map Win Percentage, with Round Win Percentage for tie-break (and pre-tournament seed for NV and C9B):
I feel like with valorants number of rounds and economy there's going to be at least 1 month of a lot of upsets every year. Since the top 10 teams are winning so much that means they're playing more matches. Since the tier 2 teams are all knocked out in the first stage. During the second stage they have like 10 hours of total footage to look over while the tier 1 teams have like 1 hour of footage.
