We get it, SEN didn't perform this year but the main reason was their team chemistry(changing roster too much) & adapting to new meta. Everyone blames Shahz so much when every other member is equally responsible.
Why would a team want Dephh over Shahz when shahz is arguably better mechanically as well as has better brain? There's enough time till next VCT, Shahz can easily practice on different agents to increase his agent pool too.
I want an honest & fair argument here.

I don't think shahzam has the better brain in the slightest lmao. Dephh is easily a better igl and they are pretty similar mechanically. Shahzam hasn't had a good performance with the team for the past 1 year. Dephh has consistently shown that xset is the 2nd best NA team. There's no way they wouldn't go for dephh lol

While I do think shahzam could probably adapt, from a team-building perspective, dephh is a much safer option on paper.
ur an idiot, he was their main jett and awp and thats why they were so dominant pre tenz, he then completely changed his agent pool and play style to accommodate tenz and was still able to put up numbers and have impact because right after he switched, they won masters 1 and 2, they also did well in masters 3 but ultimately lost to NV (an NA team who plays them all the time) and it was single elim that tourney so

Why are you having an attitude when explaining the obvious, idiot? Shahzam is a fragging IGL, this has been known. But he has only shown aptitude on Sova and Breach and obviously can't play Jett or Chamber in this meta because Jett is out of meta on most maps and he claims he can't IGL on Chamber. By "he's only played initiators" I was contrasting his agent pool with depph, who's played kayo, breach, brimstone, sage, cypher, and astra in the last three months, and even more agents beyond that. That's three different roles compared to Shahzam who's only played half of the initiators... see what I'm getting at? IGLs are typically the players who flex the most for the team, so even with a reduction in firepower and disregarding existing chemistry, it's a no brainer why Sykko would pick dephh over Shahzam.

Shaz really hasnt proven much in the past year. If we look back to their success shaz use to duelist as well as igl for the team. He was compared to the best oper in the game (wardaddy) but then left that pursuit to main sova. So I feel like if he taps back into that or explores that part of himself once again then he will be better than dephh.

I mean if you are pick only stats in the past, I don't really think you have a good argument since those only represent how good they were last year and not this year. This year, all the competitive players in the tier 1 scene are all collectively better than they were last year and the meta has change with a lot of variety in comps and how teams play.

No I would call that throwing the kitchen sink at the literal last chance to do ANYTHING for the rest of the year. ShahZ has struggled since Iceland to adapt to the meta, play meta comps and overall IGL through a meta that is constantly moving forward. Their LCQ run wasn't anything to ride home about either if you really break it down. The most notable thing I think they did was took a map off 100T and The Guard who both teams were on dominate runs during that LCQ. The win against Shopify wasn't much to run home about, Shopify was COVID stricken and hadn't actually scrimmed or pracc'd in 2 weeks leading up to LCQ but I will say, they did look good on both of those maps Sentinels.
The game against 100T on the 3rd map shouldn't have been as close as it was and I think even 100T knows that. They were making alot of fundamental mistakes that was costing them rounds which in turn made SEN look alot better than what they really were. ShahZ has had his moments in his career where he's looked really good, but this year alone hasn't been a great year for him in terms of his IGLing. I understand they went through "some" roster iterations and the absense of sicK cost them abit but as an IGL it is your duty to lead your team to success and be able to make the right calls for your team and i'm sorry but he really didn't do well with that this year. ShahZ is a fantastic player mechanically and I'm sure an Ascension team or something will pick him up and be really happy with the investment but ShahZ's IGLing days I feel are over.

can we apply some context as to why sentinels haven't performed in 2022? they were a playoffs team without a coach and then went through roster/coach woes for more than 6 months and through all that after only a month bootcamp became a formidable team again? why apply context only when it benefits your argument?

Also dephh>zander,vanity but very close gap especially with vanity who maybe argued to be even better as an igl. Redgar and valyn are 2 igls that had flawless lcq runs only to loose in GF.
