With everyone saying that shaz is the problem with SEN, do you think he is out and if so where does everyone think he could go in tier 1 if he finds a team?
Feel like if Shahz gets dropped, he's not getting picked up by any other franchise team and he probably would just commit to full-time content. Would actually like to see him compete in the ascension league, because I do think he is still a solid player despite the hate, but I doubt he would be willing to grind tbh.
number1_MIBR_hater [#5]He already said he makes more money from streaming... And it's clear he doesn't have the thrill to compete. At this point he is just a paycheck stealer
Agree, If he would have focued on the team more then team then SEN could have done a lot better this year..

he streamed far less this year compared to last.
it's a false narrative at this point that people keep pushing
also, people don't understand how much streaming makes you as a player.

Doesn't matter. He is out for the money and if he lost the thrill to compete he could be watching netflix instead of streaming, he would be a paycheck stealer anyway

The narrative is that sentineLs players doesn't want to improve and to compete. They're not out for the glory and the sportsmanship, they just want money and social media impression

Sacy streams a lot and he actually improved from last year. Same with Saadhak

So as a sen fan you rather see your team players stream and make individual big bucks than focus on competing and lift a trophy. Na sports culture kek.

yeah of course they have the fire in them. That's why right after losing the most inportant game in the year, shahzam opened his stream to play ranked L M A O
And yes, sacy/saadhak are not on a clown org focused on content creation and they actually want to win and study the game with their coach.

what's wrong with streaming after their year is over? i don't get it. you want to start mourning their loess for the next year?
SEN had to deal with so many random substitutions and were covid ridden throughout the year.
ex. dani and rawkus subbing against optic and rawkus having to play more than half the group stage. tenz was sick during LCQ and they couldn't practice. SEN got covid during stage 1 playoffs and they mentioned how much it impacted them
I don't mind Shahzam staying, he's certainly one of the only fragging IGLs here in NA and his calls in-game have been good in the LCQ. Just a reminder that SEN as a whole had a lot of problems this VCT (losing Rawkus, Sick due to mental issues and Tenz due to sickness in a few games).
However I do need to see a cultural shift in the SEN Valorant roster as a whole. Please drop Rawkus or at least demote him to ass. coach spot. There are many good coaches in NA who are free agents now( Mce, Kaplan, Chet, etc.) and set up an analyst team along with Weltis. Heard that 100T has 3 or 4 analysts. Setting up a proper structure is really important for the org that prioritizes winning.

ShahZam's stream numbers:
Jan 1st- sep 28th 2021 = 1635 hours
Jan 1st- sep 28th 2022= 1629 hours
Not 'far less'. Also, these are just some insane numbers btw. For comparison, some other IGLs stream hours in that time period :\
Boaster= 147 hrs
Vanity= 572 hrs
Most IGLs don't even stream and here he is streaming more than popular val players like TenZ(493 hrs), Laz(469 hrs) etc. Content creators like xQc gets props for insane numbers cz it takes a whole lottta effort and passion. I honestly think Shahz genuinely loves streaming and good for him but don't make it about him being dedicated to pro play. A dedicated IGL doesn't stream 9hrs of ranked and waste his energy on bullshit Jett gameplay the night before an important match.

it's so funny when people say this
from the outside looking in, you can say that "he should step down", but if YOU are in a position like that, you would try to stay as long as possible. it's a job man. you don't wanna lose it unless you don't like it
Perma [#26]nah he should quit and stick to content creation since he loves streaming so much
don't you have school lil bro?
Hot take : I still think Shahz is a really good player but he can't be competing on a franchised team if he wants to keep streaming 8hrs a day. Also unless they get FNS or dephh there is not a clear better IGL available. So if they keep him he needs to change shit up and there needs to be a strict coach and other pieces keeping him and all the players in check. But I would much rather have FNS or dephh.
RickyIndian [#24]those timings also include the off season in which they don't need to practice or scrim
There were off season/idle periods in 2021 too. For example SEN didn't had to play LCQ so we had lot of free time before that but this yr that wasn't the case. And whose fault is that we don't play LANs and have idle time? I have said in the past that I don't mind shahz staying if he is surrounded by a capable coach and a team but if he continues this way then honestly he will have even more off season in 2023 cz we won't be playing any LANs.

I'm not saying he should leave sentineLs lmao he just should stop pretending he works as IGL, because he clearly doesn't do jack shit. Take him out of the igl role and let him play operator and get a new and dedicated IGL and sentineLs will be fixed. Simple.

LCQ ended on 15 august. To that date he streamed 1315hrs more than 2x/3x of some other popular val players. I don't like giving people shit for getting the bag but you can't argue that this is not hampering performance and input in the server. There's a reason people like Ange1,Boaster,FNS don't stream when they have more entertaining personalities and could make a lot more from streaming. Like you can't tell me FNS wouldn't be the funniest streamer and wouldn't have like 10k ppl watching him every stream by the quality of streams he provided during his LCQ watch parties.

LCQ ended, he has no tournaments for like 6 months, the roster is not going to be the same for kick off, AND he’s one of the biggest valorant streamers, what the fuck else is he supposed to do
100% braindead take
And what are you talking about with the people with “better personalities” hahahahaha
Boaster is a cringe loser with no aim (who is watching him stream???), Ardiis is incomprehensible, and Shaz is WAY more exciting than FNS
Maybe talk less and just watch the games because you have no idea what you’re talking about
EDIT: I misread your comment at first but most of this is still true and you’re still lost, GG. I hope SEN gets better fans in franchising league

There is a reason ppl hate shahzam tho. U don't see the rest of sen get the same level of hate shahz alone gets. Reason: he gives way too many excuses and like countless others pointed out with stats but u are blind enough not to see them, streams waay too much for a dedicated t1 igl. His mentality isn't fit for a franchised team and he needs to go

shaz has better 90 day stats than FNS, Vanity (higher average ACS), poised, hazed, dazzle, and ange1. but yeah sure, his stats on paper aren't good enough !!
i know for a fact no one watches the games analytically whatsoever but if you get time, watch the sliggy vods of him watching SEN play against SR and 100T. he praises the calling frequently.
let him stream and do what he wants, he is streaming and is statistically on par with the other igls and is still calling fairly well. there are a lot of things out of his control. the best way to bring the best out of shaz is to add on a new coach to help bring in new and different ideas. other pros stream, but you don't watch. also, he streams during the off season and he gets so much shit for it, that's the funniest thing to me.

and in those points that he wasn't playing, i think it's fine that he streams a certain amount AS LONG AS it doesn't get in the way of their practice. Shaz has confirmed that streaming has never gotten in the way of their practice schedule.
RickyIndian [#23]in your opinion, what should shaz have done? because moving past a loss is the best thing you can do
Maybe start preparing for next year, do some vod review with the coach and team, start skirms or planning for the next tourney. Or even better yet join the lower tier tourneys and get some practice in to prepare for next year. There are many things he could of done instead of streaming.
Think about it this way, if you fail a test do you... A: go over the questions you got wrong and try to understand your mistakes and how to get the correct answer to prepare for the next text. B: say gg and then start playing games with your friends.
IMO thats what shazam should of done instead of streaming but at the same time I understand your point too. There is a huge gap between the next big tourney so it might be good for him to stream and let off some steam. But then again we don't know what he is doing when he is not streaming.

This forum is terrible lmao. Only the most bad faith and disingenuous shit gets trotted out here as though one genuinely has the interior details of the team and is in synchrony with the interior thoughts of the players themselves. If shahz truly did lose his will to compete, he definitely would have gone full-time content creator by now, as streaming comprises a disproportionate amount of his revenue.
