Asphyxia [#3]Bro I don't understand why people try to compare difficulties of online competitive multiplayer games... the difficulty is set by the enemies, so every competitive multiplayer game should have a somewhat similar difficulty if they have a similar size playerbase.
this guy does not know shit about skill ceiling LOL.. what the fuck is he saying... valorant is so much easier than other games... movement is slow, gunplay is dumb and bad engineered so everyone can be a god at it.. making a tactical fps not about skill on aiming or guns (not even in a 50%) so you rely on the dumbest utility i've ever seen on a tactical fps (wallhacks, revives, teleports, dash, decay, laser beams, bazookas, machine gun snipers and so on)... and to all of this you can add a screwed up netcode that makes you feel you are playing in a casino slot where the game takes part on who dies and who lives... "tactical" fps with "precise" gunplay... thats why a team that wins a tourney cant get it done twice... literally this game is a cheap copycat, just like they did LoL from DotA , an inferior game based of another
Olofboost [#10]100% right
Even players like Nivera who were top-30 in CS before they switched, are mid in Valorant, because skill ceiling is so much lower, which makes it easier for NA and minor regions to steal trophies
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkjjjj
excuses, excuses, excuses but in the end, you're just crying because your best team was a fluke.

a top 30 player in csgo is only mid in val and you think that's evidence that csgo is harder?
...
Faraday [#16]you clicked on the wrong forum buddy, you are looking for hltv
this is the truth of the game, csgo aside... its just criticism since i've played it till lvl 100+ and i liked it, but its just the truth... you go to a immortal 1 lobby and u can tell most of those players wont even reach sheriff in csgo, the netcode is something of the worst i've ever seen, if everyone had the opportunity to download a demo and rewatch their games they wouldn't play this shit no more cause the game itself is literally taking part in the outcome wich makes skill irrelevant in some situations no matter how
Faraday [#17]a top 30 player in csgo is only mid in val and you think that's evidence that csgo is harder?
...
yeah, thats evidence that everyone can be a god at this game wich equals to the skill ceiling being lower and the only thing that at high levels defines the outcome of a game between two teams is how u place the stupid utility they give you, the meta and the netcode/rng doing its job
sebastianuy [#18]you are from india bro, no wonder you like copycats
Let me elaborate as to why your take is braindead.
valorant is so much easier than other games
Yeah because it was intentionally done like that to appease the casuals. Which is why you have more new players playing Valorant everyday than CS ever did in the past 5 years.
movement is slow, gunplay is dumb and bad engineered so everyone can be a god at it.. making a tactical fps not about skill on aiming or guns
No shit sherlock, if Valorants main focus was to determine skill based solely on aim THEN THE GAME WOULDNT BE VALORANT, IT WOULD BE CS.
and to all of this you can add a screwed up netcode that makes you feel you are playing in a casino slot where the game takes part on who dies and who lives... "tactical" fps with "precise" gunplay...
The CS hitreg is absolute dogshit. CS frogs always boast about the techniques they have developed to add to a high skill ceiling but fail to realise those techniques were first created to adapt to the shit game engine you run on.
thats why a team that wins a tourney cant get it done twice...
How is this a bad thing. I rather see new talent and players get a chance than repeated dominance by one single team. It makes the scene more interesting.
just like they did LoL from DotA , an inferior game based of another
Funny how you say inferior copycats. The company must be doing something right, if "inferior copycats" end up beating the game they were based on on all standards.

with all u have said it just makes one thing clear... you give shit about true fps competition... csgo hitboxes were fixed while ago and now i can go and screw people thats not as good as me cause i earned that right through developing skill just like faze and navi, astralis and other tier 1 teams did and had/have their eras... you are braindead, cause with all your takes you are forgetting about the most important thing which is TRUE COMPETITION BASED ON SKILL how can a fps competitive game be not based at all on aiming skills is mind blowing... "appease the casuals" i've seen kids that cant aim for shit pick reyna and top a game on like platinum, diamond... getting the gifts of peek advantage, run and gun, rng, etc and about inferior copycats "beating" the game..I presume you are defining a game core on it's sells, active users, etc... first, both of this game's cores are better in every aspect.. there's so many things u can do in dota, in lol you are just stucked to play a set of op meta champs in order to ascend an impossible designed matchmaking for addiction development lol...second, believe me dota's TI is A LOT more money than any other lol tourney...and just cause a game sells better doesnt mean its better... csgo playerbase and the game itself is stronger than ever (sadly thank to 3rd parties like faceit)... cologne finals were insane and massively watched.. idk what you mean but if u ever think valo beat cs... keep waiting

you are literally spewing the same points over and over and over again just like every other CS frog on this website. Moreoever you are comparing the gameplay of casual ranked and mixing it with the dynamic of pro play. Both are very different gamestyles.
And literally, all your points have been anecdotal.

You are making no sense... just attacking me on this "cs frog" statement.. im a "fps" frog if u want.. i played everything from cod4 promod, to newer cods, cs 1.6, csgo, valo, r6... I cant believe how people just cause they like something cant see the shit in it.. you are just biased there's no reasoning with you.. this game is not solid enough to stand for fair fps competition, period. From casual ranked to pro scene.. have u watched this matches? this 30 round OT matches? where everyone on every team has like godlike clutches and impossible plays sometimes? it's a shitshow
Olofboost [#10]100% right

its not skill rewarding lol.. in my own experience I was grinding a game then playing and seeing after how the game would give the enemy 1 sec of advg and declare me dead before i can react.. my shots where ghost bullets.. I force myself to believe this netcode issues dont happen in pro scene, cause in lan, they have like no ping and no differences at all in those terms, but sometimes im watching a match and u can see a really good pro player miss the first couple bullets and spray just a little in the heat of the moment and getting screwed up so much out of his control and dying... with all this obsession of alleged "balance" to keep everyone happy and attract new players, and "appease" them as u said they are killing the game, it has no soul to it.. at least for me when i watch it... anyway... have a good day. It's ur opinion that u have at the end of the day i dont mind to change that honestly

real talk, it sounds like u want Valorant to be CSGO with a unique twist. It's understandable if u love CS, naturally you're gonna look for things similar to CS in things that are not CS. I've done it with many platformers comparing them to Celeste, wishing they were more similar to that game, hoping they would take notes. But in the end, they are separate games with separate means of playing. CS is naturally more about aim and foundational mechanics (less focus on variety, more focus on perfection in every skill). Valorant is more utility oriented, and plays more towards adaptability (less focus on polishing foundational mechanics, more focus on adaptation and variety in playstyles). They are two separate games that come from similar roots, and naturally since one appeared after (Valorant being inspired by CS and hero shooters), you would be inclined to compare them as if one were superior, rather than both being individual works of art/media. Nobody compares Hardcore Henry to John Wick, so there's no need to compare Valorant to CS.

how is the netcode bad, have you looked at the source LMAO? You know CS is literally built on Source engine, objectively a worse engine than UE4 and its well known that valve barely update it. the sound system is horrible as well. "Download a demo", I mean yeah this would be a cool feature but its not so insanely better than a vod that everyone would suddenly improve crazily after using it. "the game itself is taking part in the outcome" what...? "wont even reach sheriff in csgo" this has to be bait ?XD
syupr [#36]one day we have to get the best 5 players in CS to vs a T1 val team like optic and we will see. i feel the CS pros are gonna get overwhelmed by the util and site executes they gona shit themselves
what game would they play?
brado [#35]LOL, thinking Nivera was ever top30 CS player. cool story little bro
He literally was, during late 2020 when he played limited amount of games at Vitality, he was insane, Vitality were the kings of online era with him
Faraday [#17]a top 30 player in csgo is only mid in val and you think that's evidence that csgo is harder?
...
There's a lot of evidence that CSGO is harder
Smaller models (much harder to click heads and even bodies)
Faster movement (just try shooting a moving target in CS / Valorant and compare)
Less colorful maps, less colorful characters (not as easy to spot the opponent)
No fancy nades or abilities (you need to clear the sites and corners mostly using your aim instead of flashy skills)
Olofboost [#41]He literally was, during late 2020 when he played limited amount of games at Vitality, he was insane, Vitality were the kings of online era with him
you mean when he was a sub and played for like 30% of their maps? and still sucked? delusional bud. im a nivera fan, but hes never been even close to a top 30 cs player.

Yes, when he was a sub
And Nivera was playing great when he was allowed to, definitely top-20 player at that particular point of time (October - December 2020), surely not top-20 or top-30 throughout the whole year, but easily could've been, if Vitality gave him more chances
Olofboost [#49]Yes, when he was a sub

he didnt get more chances cuz he was inconsistent af. he showed up 50% of the time, yea he did have moments but not top player in cs. ever. neither was scream
brado [#50]he didnt get more chances cuz he was inconsistent af. he showed up 50% of the time, yea he did have moments but not top player in cs. ever. neither was scream
You gotta be kidding, ScreaM was literally #7 and #9 ranked in HLTV's top-20
If #7 and #9 is not good enough to be considered a "top player", I don't know what is
About Nivera - yes, he played few games, but whenever he played, he showed class (again, October - December 2020 period)
Vitality even won 2 trophies with Nivera
Seems like you know too few things about CS scene in general
