I just ran the calculations guys…

Guaranteed NA matchup for first 2 rounds in M3 Berlin: 1/3 (Envy and 100T on same side of bracket) x 1/2 (sentinels playing either Envy or 100T) = 1/6

Round 1 NA matchup in M1 Iceland: (Guard was 1st seed, Optic was 2nd, only 4 potential teams for optic to play against) = 1/4

Round 1 NA matchup in M2 Copenhagen: (XSet was 1st seed, Optic was 2nd, only 4 potential teams for optic to play against) = 1/4

Guaranteed NA matchup for first 2 rounds in Champs 2022: 1/3 (Optic and XSET on same side of bracket) x 1/2 (100T playing against one of them) = 1/6

1/6 x 1/6 x 1/4 x 1/4 = 1/576 or 0.17% chance

the raw chance of 1 of these matchups happening isn't what pisses me off, it's the fact that ALL of them have happened and riot claims these brackets are randomized. the only time NA didn't have a round 1 matchup in playoffs was in Masters 2 Iceland, but NO region had a round 1 matchup.

Cherry picked stats, why didnt you count the playoff draws of the first champions? Oh, wait…

there was a 0% chance of a 2 team NA match up to happen
i know this was a joke comment but some brainlets would probably ask this as a serious question

the chance of “sentinels playing either Envy or 100T” and “100T playing against one of them” is 2/3, not 1/2, because they had to play somebody from a different group

Feels like Riot just keeps on trying to give these minor regions a bigger shot to win the trophy on purpose by making sure that one of them reach the final since only NA & EMEA are the only regions that had won International trophies.

Shit brackets are just a symptom of forcing 1 region per group and teams from the same group having to be opposite side of bracket
There's variance beyond that but it's really nothing crazy
Also you have multiple numbers wrong but i cba so lets pretend its right

The actual odds are around 0.3 cause sen and 100t playing against a qualified team would be 2/3 not 1/2 (champs and berlin)
So it’s still in the realm of just being bad luck

If u really think that riot is setting brackets so some region is in disadvantage is dumb. Especialy when they do it to Na. Im Not telling u shouldn't be mad about it but its just random

EMEA teams had to eliminate each other last Masters so I don't know what you are talking about

RIOT claims these brackets are randomized and still people do expect that nothing unusual can happen although it's the exact same possibility for every bracket so why not all NA teams on one side. Can't this happen when it's randomized? Like when I have a 99,9% chance that I lose in lottery, why can't I just win? If it's truly randomized it's not RIOTs fault that the brackets are like that.

Same could be said about EMEA

both m1 and Iceland were predawn to avoid inter-regional matchups, but optic messed up and finished second twice, setting up na vs na matchups. The chance of 3 na teams being drawn on the same side of the bracket where there are two winners and one runner up is 1/3 as all that needs to happen is for the winners to be drawn on the same side of the bracket. So overall 1/9 chance of happening massive conspiracy I know.
