Pacific:

EMEA:
G2, FNC, TL, NAVI, BBL, KOI, VIT, KC, FPX, XL
Americas:
LLL, MIBR, INF, KRU, C9, OPTIC, 100T, SEN, TSM, EG
Who do you think will get partnered?
egg80085 [#7]who are inf? fusion?
also guard would probably make it instead of tsm or eg
lan org, big in lol
Mapusaurus [#4]truth is that the korean orgs are very big
Not fanbase in this game which is what matters the most
egg80085 [#7]who are inf? fusion?
also guard would probably make it instead of tsm or eg
Infinity is more likely than Fusion
VirajKnight [#13]Remove T1 from APAC and add a Japanese org.
Remove XL and add BIG/Rogue/Guild
Remove EG and add NRG
Not GUILD, no fanbase
Not Rogue, probably joining KOI
People really underestimate BIG chances but I think they are a must, league is gonna be held in Berlin, and hopefully will have public so making German scene grow should be a priority if you don’t want an empty stadium. It’s either them or Heretics imo

Nordics need a representation. I assume they will give a slot to one of Guild/Heroic or Rogue(If they are representing Nordics or CIS) over BIG.

And what do you think FNC is? Why do they need more teams than that?
Guild won't get a spot that is already confirmed, they didn't make the cut they are almost bankrupt
Heroic could but I highly doubt it, they don't have a relationship with Riot like Rogue and danish Valorant is not strong at all
Rogue will most likely do like in LEC and convince their spot with KOI
So no, any of these orgs has or should have better chance than BIG or a few other orgs

FNC is currently a British based one
VirajKnight [#20]FNC is currently a British based one
Which Riot considers part of the Nordics region, correct
be699 [#23]Where is PRX?
They are still new and are a small org. Very low chances they make it. Though they have nice sponsors.
Mortadelo [#10]Not fanbase in this game which is what matters the most
Top 6 in pc bangs now. On top of Overwatch there. It’s growing greatly.
Phamous [#25]Top 6 in pc bangs now. On top of Overwatch there. It’s growing greatly.
Lmao i see this same gametrics post every 2 weeks in that subreddit. People are just obsessed with Korea . Casual playerbase growth is a lot more in other Asian countries. You can ask any Indonesian, Thai , Malay or Indian about how popular Val is on their country. I can say its a lot popular in SG. Same isn't the case for KR and most people don't even know the game .
Phamous [#25]Top 6 in pc bangs now. On top of Overwatch there. It’s growing greatly.
Also worth noting that overwatch is basically dead with no updates for a year iirc. People there playing Val are just in ow2 waiting room. So comparison with dead ow is not good

Dude they have 2k viewers
deadSQUAD [#29]Asia: -GenG -XIA +CR +BRU
EMEA: -KC +TH
NA: -EG +FAZE
There is no way EG isn’t making franchising
Mortadelo [#28]Dude they have 2k viewers
I never said viewership is blazing ahead lol... I stated the game is growing... Which it is?
JiangLi [#27]Also worth noting that overwatch is basically dead with no updates for a year iirc. People there playing Val are just in ow2 waiting room. So comparison with dead ow is not good
Sure, when OW2 hits you'll see a surge of Korean players but, OW is pretty dead elsewhere and Valorant is definitely the bigger game internationally so... You'll see some talent in Korea stick around for it.
But it's still top 6 in Korea which regardless of OW or not is a statement onto itself

Korea is a large market in gaming so, it makes sense for Riot to get some of that marketshare. Im sure the game is waaaaaaay more popular in other Asian countries. It still makes sense to invest into the Korean scene heavily. The International LAN is even in Seoul, Korea for this very reason.
This is business people lol
Phamous [#31]I never said viewership is blazing ahead lol... I stated the game is growing... Which it is?
Then in 4 years when the game is grown you can give them more spots, what you can't do is give 3 spots to them, cause that cuts other regions growth

Obviously RIOT has put too much money on KR to establish the infrastructure . As you said its just business but its obviously sad to see preferential treatment .

We still don't know the number of spots tbf but, I see your point. It's just good business to develop Korea... Same with China, America, Brazil, etc.

Yes, but this is the point of this thread, dude gave spots to T1, GenG, DMG and DRX, leaving most countries of APAC without a spot
Mortadelo [#37]Yes, but this is the point of this thread, dude gave spots to T1, GenG, DMG and DRX, leaving most countries of APAC without a spot
Yeah but lol... That's a predicition... Nothing is factual. Point of the thread was franchise predicitions in ALL regions so, he made a call. Not a bad one seeing those orgs are loaded with sponsors and capital.
3 JP, 3 SEA, 2 KR, 1 SA & 1 AUS would be my predicition...
deadSQUAD [#29]Asia: -GenG -XIA +CR +BRU

Yeaaahhhh EG more then likely in it.

Ofc it's a prediction, I'm just explaining to him why his prediction makes no sense :)
Mapusaurus [#42]slot distribution has changed, as per bo
WAIT HOLD UP. FR? 3 KR TEAMS? SHEASH MY BAD G IM A BIT SLOW WITH THE NEWS
maxi447 [#47]Wasn't T1 going to stay NA??
3/5 korean players
probably wont make franchising NA
has an established Korean fanbase
is a korean org
korea is easier to get into
i think they stay in NA if they get rejected in both NA and APAC franchising
