KEKW. hold this L. MAIN CHANNEL FOR THE BIG BOYS
Actually pretty fucked from Riot. Understandable for viewership, but not overall. EMEA has already been bit struggling with viewership and then they move 50k+ stream (I don't remember correctly) to 3rd channel that currently has less than 10k views. Also 2 known teams like G2 and TL. Final map of BO3, but its better to skip that for 1st map of BO5....
On a more serious note, Riot probably did it to actually avoid contractual breaches. NA streams have in studio ad segments and sponsorships which probably contractually obligates them to run ads on main channels, while EMEA streams do not have in studio ad segments. If Riot dared to not put NA on main stream, then Riot would have been in breach of the contracts with their advertisement overlords.
Nevertheless, Riot should absolutely be dragged through mud for this bullshit, especially on social media. These "contractual breaches" would have amounted to rounding error on their spreadsheets in terms of financial penalties.

Yep it was 60k viewers which is now down to 8k because obv no one is going to try to find another stream after getting booted

EMEA viewership actually not bad if you counted Spanish and Turks and all co-streams. MEC vs Liquid peaked almost 200k same numbers with G2 liquid I think

Maybe I don't know about other languages, but you still want to have strong audience for main aka English stream. Riot wants to make franchising a big thing with only 3 leagues, but they don't even try to build up EMEA rn. NA doesn't even need main stream with watchparties.
NoTToKunG [#24]APAC Fans be like: First time?
Yeah it happens to us all the time . Everyone else realizing how biased RIOT is to certain regions/subregions .

English channels (main stream on Twich and Youtube) of M3c vs Liquid peaked over 100k (over 70k on Twitch and 30k on Youtube). And thing is EMEA don't rely on co-stream, their audiences tune it to main channels (Spanish, English main channels). I really thing EMEA will grow stronger in long-term and much more organically. EMEA popular teams are strong unlike clouted NA teams (SEN, TSM)

I’m 100% sure this is the reason.
