I think the problem with India is that Valorant requires some setup - a okayish PC/Laptop, mouse, mouse pad, good internet connection etc. The masses in India of the age group (14-26) dont really have the access to this when compared to a smartphone with internet (almost everyone has a smartphone and JIO) which is why BGMI/PUBg popularity cannot be matched with Valorant nor will a ban on BGMI/Pubg get translated to Valorant.
MethMeth59 [#19]Watch his stream when LCQ comes, you will get your answer
wait this guy on vlr isn't the real wtcn right 😰
Gutssz [#21]Turkey 10/10
There is not a single Turk who does not play Valorant.
really? oh thats why champions held in there. is there a lot of gaming cafes in turkey?
BIGGEST_VS_FAN [#5]Russia 0/10
Even the russians in USA dont play Valorant. NA servers of CSGO are filled with Russians who say they will lose their masculanity if they play a cartoon based shooter game.
United States
game: 7/10
it's one of the biggest games in the pc gaming community, but casually people see like tiktok clips and that's it, a bunch of my friends don't even play pc games and have never heard of valorant
esports: 9/10
Healthy amount of orgs in the scene, huge viewership and talented players, the only problem I see is the behind the scenes practice stuff not being on the level of EMEA
SiYK [#27]really?? 7/10?? more like 4/10.... avg valo streamer gets abt 2-3k watching per stream, and 1/10 esports... cause the best matches in the region barely reach 20k live watching..
GE vs VLT highest peak 20k+ views

Plus on almost every valo related stuff i find indian users comments.
kskm [#29]Even the russians in USA dont play Valorant. NA servers of CSGO are filled with Russians who say they will lose their masculanity if they play a cartoon based shooter game.

Tanzim [#32]Bangladesh: 6/10
although pc gaming is very small here ( cuz of poverty) val is still in competition with minecraft to be the most played pc game here
More popular than pubgm or other mobile games? Just asking

Casual popularity isnt determined by watching tbf
Philippines :
Valorant : 7/10 - Played mostly by teenagers that look like they come from twitter
Esports : 3/10 - No shit, Only popular esports here is a league of legends ( mobile legends ) rip off paying orgs to never switch games or even attempt to join. Also pro player salary is shit that dispenser tries to sell csgo skins in his spare time.

swaxmogg [#56]now dispenser is rich under team secret
Not really, he still sells csgo skins as of now and does midmans people for a fee ( idk about his rates though )
bow___ [#24]Poland:
GAME - 6/10
ESPORTS - 2+1/10
+1 to be the strategic country for East subregion (so be the main country in EU and Polish tour's orgs doing the VRL East and VEU [VRC East]), but max 400 viewers at VRC and 300 at VRL
TENSTAR polish superteam
KatZ [#54]In 2020, population aged 15-24 years for India was 248,550.37 thousand persons.
60K views is miniscule
I'd say 1 in Esports popularity.
i wonder if there's a way to find the number of people in a certain wealth/income group, because of amount of leisure money needed to play the game in the first place (internet, a solid laptop)
I'd imagine that out of the 250 million people only a small portion of them have the chance to even play it or know about it due to the financial stuff.

there's something funny about a player named dispenser selling skins lol
wizardbot [#8]Nah, Game wise 6/10 because its probably the most popular pc game here after minecraft. Esport wise 2/10
Minecraft?
I am pretty sure less than 10% people play Minecraft.
eSports titles and AAA games take 80% of the market share in India.
Casual games like Indie games/Minecraft or other popular games like Genshin and maybe rhythm games are barely played.
Although yes Minecraft does take the most popular spot in the non-esports, non-AAA game category.
KatZ [#54]In 2020, population aged 15-24 years for India was 248,550.37 thousand persons.

I'd say 1 in Esports popularity.
You know barely 1-3% of the people in India have access to computers, right?
Out of that the percentage of people having computers when they are young, especially 15-24 is even lower.
When you compare it accordingly, 60K viewers is insane, especially when you compare the history of eSports events in India.
Moreover, people who play the game don't necessarily follow esports. Only around 20-30% of the people actually watch esports and out of that only 10-20% would watch local tourneys. Most watch clips on Youtube or tune in for significant events like Champions/Masters.
Almost everyone who has dipped their hands in eSports games in India has tried valorant.

These countries have serious problems of modern slavery where they bring in people from other countries and confiscate their passports to restrain them to work for very low wages.
You need some lessons on stuff happening around the world right now.

Val: 9/10 Anyone between 12~25 years old here plays Valorant/LoL/Wildrift and is very popular among womens
E-sports: 5/10 it already has a good fanbase and has a lot of potential to be 10x bigger but lacks much investment in Tier 2
brazilians in gaming cafes mostly play cs or val?

I think Valorant popularity in PH is still like 4/10. Most people play ml cus of the lack of people with computers here and many computer shops are closing down cus of covid ( Sadge ) unlike the dota days
swaxmogg [#69]brazilians in gaming cafes mostly play cs or val?
cs, but gaming cafes (which we call lan houses) are not a thing here anymore

I know this is a problem, but a low number of greedy companies take people that work with other people and convince them to escape for more money, then take their passports, etc., the government is searching for these companies and takes calls from people that may know any information about. I acknowledge that there is some greedy people do it around the world such as amazon in UK gave their workers (0.42 cents per her hour) as you know UK is expensive. Here personal workers etc. are respected and I know some personally treat their old workers such as their brothers, also in India there is some racist problems with Indian Muslims there so you can't say about us something that only rare greedy workers do it and most of them are jailed.
I don't know what's happening in other countries but I am talking about Saudi Arabia.
