I mean the reason you guys have one slot is because of VS performances last year

It pretty sure does performance definitely also plays a big role BR has one only slot the other one you know the lcq (latam+br) remember last time at champions VK,Vikings almost defeated the the finalists of champions acend,gambit even though they ultimately didn’t made out of groups and kru finished top 3/4 this kinda justifies why they have an extra lcq slot aside from the one they already got
Wdym 2 SEA teams were in the playoffs at champions and FS made it out of LCQ (JP+KR+APAC) and in masters 3 our best team at that time Bren (TS) were unable to play the event due to the visa issues. Also KR started of pretty good top 3 but fell off slowly in masters 3 (KR had 2 teams btw) top 8 and then ultimately grouped plus SEA is such a big region consisting of so many countries
going off international results alone in 2021, kr- top 3 finish, top 8 finish. sea- 2 top 8 finishes. and u cant use the fact that kr had 2 teams in masters when sea had 3 in champions when kr had 1. cant be bringing excuses like visa when i can also start using excuses like 'drx happened to vs gmb in quarters and were the only team to take a map off them in playoffs' or like 'teams like TS had the easiest route to playoffs in champions whilst drx had to verse 2 major region teams in their group'
First of all SEA had 2 direct slots in champions FS earned their slot in LCQ there could’ve been 2 KR teams in champions but weren’t cause they didn’t made in LCQ second visa is totally a different issue idk how are you comparing it to which team had a easier route and which one not. They were our best team at that time (3-0 prx in finals) imagine if VS didn’t made it to masters 3 due to some issues and f4q was your only representative would you have got a top 8 finish no right by this i am not saying TS would have made it to playoffs or something like that but they were robbed of their chance due to uncontrollable circumstances
i'd say SEA did better than VS last year, 2 teams in playoffs in the most important event of the year. VS made playoffs in berlin but who knows what bren could've done if they got their visas. SEA has 2 confirmed slots, KR 1, with lcq's for APAC N and APAC S. Performance alone doesn't determine slots but i think it does play a factor cause look at the changes made to BR 2 slots when they didn't achieve jackshit.
top 3 top 8 > top 8 top 8 no matter how u look at it. 'who knows what bren could have done with visa' when i could say 'who knows what VS could have done if they didnt vs GMB in the quarters', mind u bren literally thought VS was the best team in the world at that time and GMB themselves had said VS is their biggest threat.
top 3 in the first ever international lan, with a terrible playoffs system with only 10 teams that allows them to go top 3 while only winning 2 matches against 2nd seed teams of diff regions. top 8 in the second masters event. 2 top 8 finishes in the most important event of the year > top 3 in the first one with 10 teams only and top 8 respectively. obviously riot also prioritizes recent results over older ones to shape the 2022 vct circuit. also the what if scenarios are incredibly different, on one hand the best team of a region can't attend and play, later on they also got top 8 in champs so it's more relevant to discuss this one, where the other one is seeded into.
Gonna add onto it and also one of the reasons KR has only slot this year is due to the fact there was not much of a competition in the region at that time aside from VS. NU,F4Q,Damwon all played in lcq but did not made it out and at that time kr was regarded as the best region in asia since none of the kr teams made it out people started calling it a one team region
