Shopify Rebellion is an org made by an e-commerce site called shopify, so their financials are pretty good. Their esports are pretty small time, as you said they had a GC roster, and they also have a Starcraft 2, Rocket League and Halo roster that are all pretty mediocre, this signing is probably their most significant and is probably going to be their flagship roster, and val will be their flagship game with a top 8 NA team and top 8 GC team

even if this is true, the whole point of franchising is consolidating strong players and weeding out all the weak ones.
tenz still has potential, no doubt in my mind if SEN don’t make franchising he gets picked up somewhere else
