Gambit didn't necessarily pioneer an agent-specific meta but they definitely innovated lurking with how nAts plays.
Gambit was the first team to tinker with neon on split. It was copied by some na teams too, redgar made a tweet about it

Ive played against him in ranked, but obv thats not the same thing. I think if there was no post plant, no judge, and no OP metas to abuse and the game properly balanced, he wouldnt be any sort of special IGL at all, open to being wrong on this one

My apologies if I got it wrong, I know for sure though that DRX/VS definitely pioneered Breach on Haven.
DRX - created the breach meta in general
Gambit - didnt exactly create this but they popularized have a lurking sentinel/viper on maps like bind and icebox
Optic - Once again they werent the first to use neon on maps but they used her the best and were the team to popularize her use on maps like fracture split and haven. I also think they were one of the few teams to adopt the chamber meta early and show how powerful he was.
Acend - Were using omen on split even when he was "shit" but showed the power he held with oneways
PRX - Revived the double duelist meta and probably popularized the use of Yoru on maps like bind.
c9 - First started using kayo on breeze during lcq and popularized his use heavily.
Acend - Made the "meta" bind comp and popualrized the use of a single initator, sage, and brim on the map
