American literature isnt better than japanese literature. Also manga isnt like primetime japanese literature, after all japan has had a bigger attunement with art and a more consistent and rich cultural background. Japanese books and artistic ideology is much more developed than american art and culture since american culture becomes an adaptation of pop art and old european art. Whilst japanese art and culture has been a heavy focus on its lifestyle, just because you know more american books it doesnt give you the right to be ignorant over an entire culture.

They both committed war crimes
But its completely stupid to glorify either country, and whats even worse is if you're nationalistic to a country that has nothing to do with you, thats just mental illness
I mean thats a very fair point, US for sure has committed many atrocities like Natives, Slavery, etc.
But I feel like people in the US know that, and work against those things and hold the country accountable for these atrocities
