Is this guy okay? So much shit going on to him rn I feel bad. Seems like it's been affecting his performance too
21_Not_so_Savage [#3]What happened? Respectfully
check out his recent twitter posts https://twitter.com/neT_valorant
21_Not_so_Savage [#5]Even optic yays father dislikes yay cuz of the career he is having.... apparently yay hasn't spoken to his father over a year.
It's jus crazy how much success these two pros have got and their parents are not even the slightest of proud... wishing all valorant pros and everyone in this forum good luck with everything going on with em man....
I didn’t know that about yay’s dad. that’s messed up
zzzzzzzzz [#2]his father is even hating on him too
this is like Ja Morant's dad except he actually hates him instead of just tryring to motivate him
Vortexy [#10]Damn, this guy is my classmate's cousin. Ig I can try to ask but that may be too personal. Hope whatever is going on in his life improves.

sh0uto_ [#19]Yes he did
ditching MIT and focusing on esports sounds sketchy to me. But hey, net is smart so he knows what he is doing (I guess?).

well he may still attend and play at the same time, like nAts.

I think thats why is father was so passive-aggressive on his twitter post, not justifying his actions ONE BIT WHATSOEVER, but I would also be a little frustrated if my child passed up on MIT to pursue a volatile industry such as esports, however neT has found great success in joining a very well-salaried team sponsored by Kroenke and school is always an option so it makes zero sense why his own father has turned against his own son. Extremely weird behavior.

now thats a good parent figure! Respect YAY mother
sh0uto_ [#19]Yes he did
his bio used to say SMU '24 which is an American university in Dallas. Unless he got accepted on a transfer basis, he didn't get into MIT.

I mean his dad isnt apart of his life though, so having some input on this in his position makes no sense

I'm pretty sure he got into both and went to SMU, and played lacrosse there

Getting payed money for video games > paying money for school imo
He can always go back to school after esports

bruh, you are not looking at the long run lol.
Any MIT graduate would make more than an esport player (unless you are the hottest player in the game like s1mple in csgo, tenz in Valorant, etc. but I don't think net will achieve that kind of success).
Also, you don't realize the network you will build in MIT. Literally a recent grad in MIT can make 200K per year easily. If you are good enough to be an entrepeneur, then sheesh, you guess the $$$number.
But yeah, as I said, net knows what he is doing. All I am saying is that MIT is almost guaranteed to really good life whereas esports is kinda sketchy for him (at least for now I don't see him as tier 1 player yet lol)

Going to a good college doesn't mean that you will 100% make a ton of money
He can just go to MIT after his career is over
college doesn't have an age limit, esports does

Of course not 100%. But definitely more likely than any other college in the world and that means something lol. I am in the tech industry and dude, graduate from MIT can easily go into google facebook amazon type of job with 200k~300k starting salary.
Not really, not many colleges let you go back once you take a few gap years. They will question why and re-examine you. By the time you reapply, you have forgotten all the knowledge lol.
