Yay every day. Tenz peak is way too inconsistent plus I honestly think Yay matches Tenz's peak with his normal LAN performance.

Leaf is not better than Yay on the agents both play. Leaf does play more agents than Yay tho which makes him valuable. His Raze is especially good.

I really doubt that. It's not age or experience that's the problem, it's that they're not adaptable, they don't have a deep map pool or good set plays, and they're midrounding is super lackluster. All of those traits don't really matter when facing the majority of other NA teams, but they're really detremental against the real top teams in NA, and if they somehow made it to masters, in the world.

S: Optic, Guard, C9, V1
A: XSet, NRG, Knights
B: Sen, 100T, LG

Hard disagree, Cryo might be the best player out of both teams, but V1 has much better fundamentals and teamplay, plus I think their midrounding is really good unlike XSET.

posted about 2 years ago

I think they're A tier if you have NRG there tbh

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly I say put XSET in A tier. They’ve never beaten any of the other teams there with their current roster.

posted about 2 years ago

This is honestly perfect. I’d like to mention Yay solidified himself as probably the best NA duelist this masters event and is absolutely cracked. Also XSet are just lacking that spark which will let them beat top teams. TGRD, Optic, C9, and V1 have it. Two of those teams are going home though so it’ll be tense to see who!

posted about 2 years ago

Sentinels will not qualify. The only ones in contention are Optic (by far the best na team internationally rn), C9, V1, and TGRD. Two of those teams won’t make it though.

No way you give another slot to Japan before NA. NA has at least 4 top competitive teams (Optic, TGRD, C9, and V1), Japan has 2 at best (Zeta + CR). That being said, although Zeta were able to improve incredibly and I'm super excited for their run, that doesn't mean CR will also be a lot better. Also a China/India/MENA team would need to be tier 1 first, and none of them are yet.

NRG is patently hilarious. I think V1 is very good but we’ll see if they can beat two of C9, TGRD, and Optic. I personally want TGRD to make it so they can prove themselves on lan but who knows if they’ll be able to qualify. That’s the problem with such limited teams.

Imagine not having yay or aspas

Xeppaa exists and so does Zellsis.

posted about 2 years ago

Plausible but honestly could go ANY way. I'm super hyped.

I've been saying this all over the thread but MASSIVE agree on the Outer Wilds. It's the best game ever made imo.

posted about 2 years ago

Yes please do! I love to talk about that game

posted about 2 years ago

Or slow for much less time. His slows last fucking forever.

I suppose you also chucked your old computer into the ocean and spilled coffee on your phone

posted about 2 years ago

Dude can you imagine the teams Japan would make??? That would be so huge for them.

This ain’t it chief

They're not getting Saya lmao. Have you seen his twitlonger about TGRD? He'll stay there until they kick him out, the roster gets completely changed, or he dies.

As a big guard fan, PRX deserved to win that. PRX's 2-0 vs G2 proved that it wasn't just the guard playing badly, it was that the other team is actually just fucking good. That being said, they DID play badly (including having poor fundamentals which is really rare for them). In addition, Trent was really not performing on LAN. He's super young so I'm sure he'll pick it up with more time, but that was another major difference in their play. I remember numerous times in NA quals when trent would pull off insane clutches or get super impactful kills while on Sova (dropping 280 acs average or something), but against PRX and Optic he had none of that. Just got inside his own head I'd guess.

When I hear listen to the supernova song (you'll understand if you play it), I always feel this sense of calm come over me and I stop whatever I'm doing to just take in the moment. It's such a great experience.

Sure mate

posted about 2 years ago

Zeta are great but I doubt Japan could field a fourth team that’s even tier 3

posted about 2 years ago

Where’d you get this info lol

posted about 2 years ago

No way someone steps down with how they've been doing

posted about 2 years ago

If you liked Journey, strongly recommend the Outer Wilds. It also gives that feeling of calmness and the story and puzzle solving is incredible

posted about 2 years ago

Seconded I fucking love that game. The outer wilds is a must play too if you like that free form exploration style.

I used to play so much btd 4

World of tanks blitz

If you want a serious answer, I’ve really enjoyed horizon forbidden west recently and I strongly recommend playing zero dawn first if you have the time.

Honestly I completely agree with everything you said. That being said, as someone who follows Olympic fencing it can be much much worse. At least the footage isn't bad, vods are released, and the casters are pretty good (Sidebren is my favorite duo I think).

PRX won me over last game I love them now

posted about 2 years ago

Loud
Optic
PRX
Zeta

All fantastic teams tho. I want Zeta to win but my brain says Loud will.

posted about 2 years ago

Absolutely Kru, they don't even get the excuse of having two subs.

posted about 2 years ago

Tbf they were shit in their first few matches (even the wins against fnatic and nip seemed rough and more dependent on individual play than strats). It's really only against Liquid that they started seeming incredible

posted about 2 years ago

There's no way OpTic win against LOUD, the best team in the world right now.

posted about 2 years ago

Genuinely the only teams I think that would have a chance against them would be Loud, Optic, DRX, and Zeta (Zeta's a big maybe tho, it depends on what stage of their run they're in). FPX also has a really good map pool against most other teams.

  1. Challengers kick off
  2. “Will drx lose this time?”
  3. End up sweeping challengers
  4. “wow, theyre looking ok” or “wow, theyre looking amazing” hope they do decent internationally
  5. make it to international, look good in the opening matches
  6. the hype is building, international fans get excited over drx again
  7. then they get to their most important matches when the hype is at their greatest
  8. they lose in the worst way possible and just barely out of pressure
  9. “maybe next time theyll do better” “theyll come back stronger like every time”
  10. repeat, every single time since m2

Formatted it a little more readable for people

posted about 2 years ago

They're not perfect ofc, it's just unblievable how spot on this was.

posted about 2 years ago

No shit I'm just trying to provoke discussion. Although tbf I'd say he's better than bnj considering how lackluster bnj performed.

posted about 2 years ago

Doesn't make sense to use sScary because we only got to see him in 3 series, and he barely outperformed marved in terms of ACS and Kast (literally a difference of 2 and 1%). Mako and Sugar I will easily accept. I also think Chronicle would be better than all of them but he couldn't make it obviously.

posted about 2 years ago

YO WHAT THE FUCK

posted about 2 years ago

Didn’t G2 beat full strength M3C and Fnatic

posted about 2 years ago

On stream Zander mentioned he thinks there’s 4 controller players worldwide who are better than him. My guess would be Marved, Mako, Chronicle, and Nats. Anyone else has any ideas who they could be?

posted about 2 years ago

I actually agree with you. And I'm personally rooting for Zeta, but I think Loud has the greatest chance to win. They just have the most complete team imo.

posted about 2 years ago

Ngl I'm feeling a Loud win this grand final.
