I have been playing Valve's new game Deadlock since May 2024 and have been one of the highest rated players in the closed beta. Since it has become public now and I have seen a lot of people asking what I want to do with it I feel like I should address how I feel about the game. I really believe it will become a huge esport with due time. Sentinels went for the BR/NA mix, not because that was the best competitive option, but for the chance to capture both markets. Constantly churns out content etc etc Every decision they make isn't only about "will this make us win it all", it's just one of many factors in their shortsighted profit driven decision making. If you don't win it all, no amount of content on earth will make people want to engage with your fake ass content.

Compare that to the current fnatic making hard but necessary decisions to slowly build up a monster of a team, while kicking several "good eonugh" players. It's also a lot easier if each of your players doesn't have 50k hoodie fans thanks to your parasocial propaganda. The only content coming out of fnatic is believable enganging content from boaster in his downtime.
