this might be the biggest nothing burger of a post i’ve ever seen in my life
a win that is both succeeded and preceded by terrible performances is by definition a fluke
i took an online exam and literally all the answers were A bruh my prof gives 0 shits about this course
Man i don't know why you're crashing out over such a nothing burger of an argument, maybe if you put this effort towards figuring out why G2's map pool sucks somehow then maybe they'd still be in the tournament
best placement in franchise history btw and some people think them losing out from here would be some kinda gotcha moment
Nah bro i'm enjoying the ride
From what i seeing it's just knowing how to manage economy and ults, combined with good set strats and mental
there have been some lucky rounds but they got here through their own skill, they just refuse to let others define how they want to play the game and it's worked for them thus far
Not everything is shameless bro i barely see both sunset and bind being played at this event so teams just genuinely do not like playing either of these maps
they're going to play both of them either way given who they will be facing next and my guess is that with the coaching staff they have they'll have something cooked up
just a shame that if they don't win then a genuine good run from this team is just gonna be considered luck :/
considering there are 7 maps in the pools, having a 5 map pool is like… not bad at all lmao
you also need to consider that teams have their own map pools so they can’t just play into the opponent’s weakness the whole time because if they do there’s a chance they’ll just end up getting punished
Meaning MIBR is not stronger than NRG/DRX because aspas was the only thing keeping them competitive
been here the whole time
Flashback diff and we know how to counter them now
even w/o bind we are good on pretty much all the other maps
And yet somehow they lost against both???
NRG banned sunset every match this event except against DRX, where they banned it before NRG could
I was delusional since playoffs americas and look where that got us
you can’t because you know you can’t lol, i argued against everything you said and couldn’t provide anything
it’s just too easy
you say all of this and yet you still can’t prove that chronicle was the more impactful on any team on his career, he had one event where he was the best on his team and never again, constantly getting carried
nt tho
if NRG somehow win this match i will be so fucking insufferable
best player at gambit was nats
and the second at lock//in is the only other one you have
actually pretty sad how easily you give up
Pretty sure he was ill then but honestly that’s valid
“better agent pool” plays one more agent (as a flex lmfao) than a duelist
“way more consistent” consistently middle of the pack in his team where two other players are better
“additional one year where he was the best” he was never the best, not even on gambit since nats was better
“has defeated multiple goat candidates” because of his teammates who were better (alfajer/derke/leo/etc)
“doesnt sabotage the team” easy to not sabotage when you’re just not that important in the first place
anything else?
brother EG was not a superteam, they became good; please learn what the definition of a superteam is because i think that’s what’s causing you confusion
and NAVI lost arguably their best player to NRG, while FNC picked up two great players. FNC was expected to do well, and after LOCK//IN, everyone expected them to be the greatest and they still are
if you think 2023 FNC was not hyped as a super roster then i imagine you are just a newgen fan or haven’t been watching as much before now
once again, the only argument one can make for chron is trophies
it’s way too easy to argue with chron fans
and even then chronicle wasn’t their best performing player that series, it was kaajak
i also don’t see how this disproves my point since i said boaster was the most important piece of the puzzle
He’s been their best player, however, that can’t be denied
i argue alfa > chron because alfa HAS been the best player in multiple of their runs while also having similar accolades
because chron has a better team
he’s never been the best player in any team he’s played
importance ≠ how good you are
boaster is the most important player on FNC but he is not the best player
I’m actually mindblown by how you’re trying to downplay FNC as a superteam but not EG, i actually think i’m getting ragebaited and it’s working because i can’t even comprehend this level of selective thinking
and EG isn’t even an ascension team, they are a partnered team and were playing in NA before franchising 😭 FNC 2023 was made of the best performing core in EMEA (minus FPX) alongside the best performing initiator and flex, they were in fact a superteam
i am actually begging you, if you aren’t ragebaiting, please think for a second before you type because you are looking more and more clueless with every message you send
Which is why alfa clears
I’ll accept chron > aspas, but if you wanna consider all of this, then alfa > chron
in hindsight loud 2022 is a superteam, but only two of these players were internationally known before that year. should we call EG 2023 a superteam because they made two international finals as well?
When the fnc roster (Leo, chron, boaster, derke, alfa) got made, no1 was thinking 'damn this roster is too stacked, they gonna win it all' till they did
Man i can’t even understate how wrong you are. this is legit one of two super teams ever made (the only other one is NRG 2024 which failed miserably)
simple argument against Chronicle:
he has barely even been the best on his team in 5 years of playing, while aspas does it in every roster
anyway if chron > aspas, alfa > chron
well the actual “superteam” did in fact win a trophy
aspas hasn’t been on a superteam since then
Ok cool
he was still the third best player in the team because alfa/leo outperformed him on every other map
nAts was the mvp for berlin, chronicle looked the best for one exact series
reminder that chronicle has CONSISTENTLY been surrounded by the best players in the world that have allowed him to find the kinds of stats he does
aspas’ rating is miles more impressive when taken into account he has never been surrounded by a superteam (2022 loud wasn’t a superteam), chron has never ONCE been the best player on his team at any point in his career but has similar stats to aspas because his teams are always better
and we all like talking about flukes when toronto was the exact definition of a fluke from aspas
