agreed. there are only a few handful of players who I really say are talented (n4rrate, primmie, karon, verno, aspas, flashback, t3xture, oxy). like they have skill that just cant really be taught. thats why im so excited for the future of valorant, so many new talents came in this year and just did well in terms of solo performances.

trexx has been MONSTROUS recently. sayf is just the goat. if VIT does somehow get n4rrate i can see a world where they could do well

tomaszy is extremely underwhelming given that he used to play duelist you would expect him to frag and make a bigger impact. sh1n is good, he's just not a karon mako level controller

N4RRATE was easily a top 5 EMEA player this year, marteen is a top 3-4 duelist in EMEA as well, sh1n has had CRAZY improvements since last year as well as magnum. tomaszy could've done better, but it is what it is. dont forget they have Engh as well who is a legend coach. dont ever say some bullshit like this ever again

towards end of split 2 he wasnt that great, but end of split 1 and early split 2 he looked like NA's best cypher and a top senti. i have hope for him as a player still

im really confident when I say this, if EG were given a month or two extra they wouldve been a real international threat. it wasnt because of the team he played bad at times.

Since KC can't make champs now, do you guys think this team will stick together? Or split. I personally wouldn't mind either, I loved watching this team do so good in the beginning of the year and seeing new talent and improvement. I could see a world where N4RRATE goes back to NA, but i'm pretty sure he said himself he wants to become "that NA guy who dominates in europe". Even though they didn't qual for champs and their teamwork dipped, KC rn undoubtedly has some of the best players in the region overall.

even if their strats are good it’s undeniable their solo performances are the biggest issue right now. we all know s0m is the goat mechanically but isn’t playing like himself. fns has worse aim than boaster, victor and crashies just aren’t good anymore. the only two solid players on NRG are ethan and s0m. yes brain is important, but we’re in a meta where the best teams have 4/5 5/5 aimers and no matter how much of an FNS masterclass is seen, if they can’t shoot they can’t win. it’s the simple truth. valorant is changing. it’s not 2022 or 2023. their strats may be good and i don’t doubt it, but the reason they r ass is bc of lack of firepower and individual stepping up.

wrap it up nrg are ass rn (as an nrg fan). even if they do make playoffs they’re getting knocked out and even if they do qual for champs they’re getting stomped by TH GENG PRX without a doubt. they just need to look for a new roster for 2025

it depends bc they play diff roles. yes ethan plays initiator. too, but he plays support whilst n4rrate plays scan.

also the only reason Ethan was bad on IGL was because they didn’t have enough time to prep since it was completely new to him. They 100% won’t qualify for champs so starting now and during off season, training as igl could give him a shot. if not they could just find a diff igl.

then they wouldn’t need FNS. potter has done perfectly fine herself.

i think it’s time after 2024 for NRG to have a complete restart. it’s clear FNS isn’t built for competitive mechanically anymore, chet is a fraud, and victor and crashies are the most overrated duo in the world.

FNS should be moved to an assistant coach or analyst role.

also unless EG win champs this year, potter will probably get bought out or join a different team as will in which NRG could acquire.

demon1 must come back no matter what. he is the only player in AMERICAS besides aspas who has the aspas texture woot carry potential and with potter on the new NRG roster they can utilize him well.

it’s clear demon1 isn’t suitable as the only duelist so NRG would have to bring on a “main duelist”. the top choices would be aspas or jawgemo. aspas has english experience now with LEV and will be just fine no matter the language barrier because it’s aspas at the end of the day. both insane pure duelists who are world class players.

next they would need a full time initiator player, someone who can actually shoot back. by the end of 2024 some top initiator players from NA i can think of are N4RRATE or verno. both insane young talent who have firepower, clutch potential, and are dominant.

i would say they should keep s0m as well. he is one of americas’ greatest shooters and mechanically gifted individuals. he can flex on anything and main smokes. what else could you want from a player??

and finally an IGL who can shoot back. whether it’s someone from T2, Valyn if G2 doesn’t work, maybe ethan couldddd try it again with more time (off season). just someone who can shoot back.

so ultimately a potential NRG 2025 roster would be

Coaches: Potter + FNS
Primary Duelist: Aspas or Jawgemo
Secondary Duelist / Flex: Demon1
Initiator/Flex: N4RRATE or Verno
Smokes: s0m
IGL: Ethan or Valyn (if valyn s0m can be perma flex)

this roster would be a true super team without a doubt and certainly has no weak link. did i cook?
