As more time passes, I've kind of learned that it's a either you like the story or not and it's very difficult to convince someone otherwise. You're completely free to avoid it, but for me mushoku tensei has truly captivated me. I've reread the whole series twice and now working through the 1st novel in Japanese.

I understand why someone would find it weird, even to the point where I'm very much hesitant to bring it up around anyone I don't know well. Still one of my favorites though
