The Guard is so good.

I knew this team would be next up since time.

Saya finally getting the recognition he deserves.

And Trent, this guy was hovering the T3 scene, but he is actually one of the best youngsters in NA rn.

Can't wait to see more of The Guard.

As a T1 fan, I'm not sad that T1 isn't here.

I'm sad that TSM played so pitifully. It was genuinely sad how TSM lost rounds they should have won.

WP to Akrew tho.

yo where's dusti and cyclop now?

wardell fucked up hard here.

posted about 2 years ago

wardell said that some of T1's players used VPNs to increase their ping, so the admins can choose Texas server.

posted about 2 years ago

oh and T1 is still a top contender to qualify for closed, so i wholeheartedly believe in the players' abilities to do that, as a T1 fan.

T1 got a ruling yesterday about their coach cheating. We don't know what was said or how much was said, but it was during an ongoing round, not during a TIMEOUT.

I do think that this is fair, because it was during a round, which in hence is cheating.

But this new information about VPNs and ping increases just seems strange. We obviously don't know much of it is true, so it's better to take it with a grain of salt.

That being said, T1 still has the ability to qualify for closed next week, so there's no restriction on that.

In the grand scheme of things, this incident will get swept under the rug, and most people will forget about it, or it will not be a bigger deal than it is today.

What server was it? Texas?

Curry and Thwifo both live in Texas, so that's why they have very little ping.

Steel lives in Arizona, idk about pwny or seven, but I'm assuming it's on the east or west coast, far from Texas.

I don't know how much of the VPN story is true, but is it really fair to say that texas residents are using vpns in TEXAS, to get lower ping?

That sounds like some shit.

source?

not being salty, just genuinely curious if this is true or not.

EU tbh, even as an NA fan.

posted about 2 years ago

I believe they are.

They'll make it out through tbh. Steel and dd8 won't let this get to their heads. The youngins probably need a bit more guidance but steel will take care of that.

posted about 2 years ago

Unlucky for the players, and reasonable by riot I suppose. Coaches need to be more careful about what they say when.

But there's still the 2nd qualifier, and I believe they can make it through.

T1 will qualify next week all good.

Steel's youngins will get through this, and hopefully david doesn't fat-finger "shift + enter"

posted about 2 years ago

for sure the guard and rise.

They just seem better than their competition in their respective brackets.

posted about 2 years ago

all good, beating ABX and taking a map off Gen.G means that BA is not to be underestimated.

posted about 2 years ago

Guard gonna clap whoever.

Saya and Trent are absolute demons, and glad MCE is coaching, because he knows the game really well.

posted about 2 years ago

very true.

saya and valyn are the truth.

posted about 2 years ago

very unlucky. really was looking forward to the T1 win.

but damn, all of this started because a player couldn't handle the salt after losing map 1.

a warning to a dq? seems strange now.

gonna wait for the official riot ruling tho.

but for now, actual bs decision.

very unlucky.

posted about 2 years ago

that is ridiculous.

at least ACEND and VK called the exploit AFTER the game, not in the middle of it.

that is actually fucked up.

T1 2-1 TSM

The fatigue will get to TSM. T1 had time to cool down and reset their mental.

most unfortunate.

all good, there's a lower bracket.

Young demons win again.

Rather their mental wins again. Steel and David really shaping these rock solid mentals in these young kids that can crumble under pressure.

Great stuff from T1.

I am on that GRD HOPIUM but they need a bit more experience, whereas LG has been battle-tested.

GRD 2-1 but I wouldn't mind if FaZe won either.

I don't mind that EMEA has less slots than BRATAM and APAC.

People might call it a joke, but Riot is trying to market the game to other regions than EMEA and NA. Marketability and advertising are two main factors for a game's success.

If the minor regions don't get hooked into the game, then it will be bad for the game's viewership potential in the long term. But hey if y'all want the game to be like CS:GO, with the same 8 teams, and the same 2 regions, then that's all cool. I wouldn't want it tho.

Just my two cents on it.
