Suuuuuuurely SBE 2-1 VLT

posted about 2 years ago

SA mfs be hyping the wrong players up.

didn't hear jack shit about this dude and he's been the most solid player on VLT.

posted about 2 years ago

I liked the other caster duo with Asurai and the other guy.

this pair's timings kinda feel off

posted about 2 years ago

doesn't mean anything, but VLT and SBE both 13-10'd OF on Ascent.

low key feeling a C9 stomp. I have no evidence or reasoning for it, however.

C9 2-0 (13-7, 13-8)

imo

PRX > TH > ID

but TH and ID aren't far in skill. PSJ and BOOM look just as good if not better than ONIC so the knockoff stage will be interesting

posted about 2 years ago

they can't.

I was assuming it'd just be a random 1st seed with a random 2nd seed, not any set order.

posted about 2 years ago

The shitty decision could troll the entire bracket because XIA are the second seed.

33% FS - XIA
33% PRX - XIA
33% BOOM - XIA

all matchups I'd expect to see only in the upper, lower, or even grand FINALS.

posted about 2 years ago

nt ONIC :(

I'm happy XIA qualled, but it sucks it had to happen like this.

(since they're second seed it's possible to have PRX v XIA in the first round of playoffs monkaW)

5/9 are IGLs too

what stands out more to me is the 301 deaths, which is the highest among those on this post.

losing the super important controller util more than most players is definitely a big problem, even if his util usage is supposedly great.

(does depend on total rounds played)

I have no response to this. You are truly worthy of the title "king of vlr.gg".

(G2 flair still cringe)

double elim stuff

otherwise, they could lose only once and be eliminated, unlike every other team in the bracket who had a second chance.

not a fan of it either.

to see one of the two go out here, it is sadge.

XIA 2-1 ONIC.

what happened I was watching FS VLT

iirc a lot of the thai fanbase is on facebook, so I'm not sure riot will even see most of the stuff.

I mean, I felt that they weren't playing as they usually do.

The only reason FS won that map is that VLT just couldn't shut down JohnOlsen and Thee. The util from FS was super bad, the teamplay was always fractured, and their map control was bad.

They just contacted into sites for like 10 rounds straight, and VLT read it - putting 3 defenders on the site that was getting hit at times. They still couldn't stop the execs, though, and lost the game as a result.

I'm not trying to take away from VLT - their strategic ability was better. It just didn't feel like the FS that played pretty much anytime other than early Champs.

posted about 2 years ago

GG

FS's haven looks very messy. maybe it's just that they weren't warmed up.

Split was miles better - they look like the normal FS again.

posted about 2 years ago

yeah, it's ridiculous that they didn't even give them the ~1.5 hours that the match would have undoubtedly taken either way. 30 minutes and they lose both maps.

not a fan of this decision at all, RIOT really need to revise their rules.

T1 won 2-0 against DRX. They are the first team EVER to go undefeated in an LCK split.

Did that match break 100k peak? There was probably 40-50k on twitch alone.

posted about 2 years ago

FS wouldn't have won this map against a more skilled team. JohnOlsen and THEE are insane

so many duels went their way that wouldn't have against a top tier team like PRX or XIA.

VLT just couldn't hang with the big dog's fragging.

posted about 2 years ago

VLT somehow can't deal with FS's execs now that JohnOlsen and the rest of the team is fired up. The execs feel super telegraphed too, with a lot of staggered early util, and no real presence on the other parts of the map.

VLT definitely read it, too, with 3 players on A. Yet, they still lose the round.

posted about 2 years ago

ngl even if FS win like this, I'm still disappointed.

it's just contact play after contact play. they almost lost a 3v2 post plant because they were all in a smoke in long

posted about 2 years ago

he diffy

posted about 2 years ago

yeah, I'm pretty convinced FS haven't practiced this map at all, or have flat out underestimated VLT.

these decisions are so odd - not using the sova ult in the 1v1 on a key round, not rotating after that initial engagement at A and general mismangement of the time.
