the announcements will push the mods to actually update the roster correctly
Yeah like I also forget about how insanely close XLG got to playoffs. A single thing changes and they get top 8
You're confusing XLG with BLG. XLG won against SEN and barely lost to GX
EDG and XLG had extremely close calls + DRG had a sub with an insurmountable language barrier. Given their performances and how fucking lopsided BLG's was it absolutely plays a huge part in how the region as a whole is seen
BLG being shit at champs has done generational damage to China's reputation
#HolyShitThisSucks
iamgrq was formally announced. Just waiting for F4ngeer and then the starting 5 will basically be official unless something surprising happens
master does have good taste in gun buddies :3
most significant action is eliminating Liquid from Lock In 🤣🤣🤣
in general cooper flagg. his performance is generational rn
for vct it's iamgrq. he looked super controlled and his aim was extremely good at ascension
yk he's getting mad money from this
it's not even a rumor btw he literally IS CURRENTLY SIGNED and obone WILL NOT BE PLAYING
no way Muggle's cooked the team that much 💀
he seems pretty reserved in content + has some grimy reads. all he needs is to develop enough respect to freely change players and China will literally have their own Termi
the funny thing is that there's a good chance Autumn ends up having a more positive impact on EDG than he did on T1. The current GM is famous for being hands-on and understands Korean as a mediator, and they hired two other chinese coaches. there's no way he can act with impunity 😂
Speak your shit king!
Real AG fans never speak ill of JDG and TYL!
also calling it now but Muggle is going to cement himself as the cn Termi. idk he just gives off those vibes as a coach
yeah and that duelist flex is Kodeth. people forget that he's signed to NOVA and is literally a duelist-senti player
def agree with the top 4 with how the teams appear both on paper and seem to be meshing rn. the whole middle pack are liable for upward mobility since the entire region has leveled up tremendously overall in all regards. blg look finicky for now but this is always how Muggle's team(s) looked (only EDG lol but still), so giving them leeway to feel stuff out before the end of January's warranted tbh. you never know with what random reads he'll pull out that'll either make his team look like gods or bots
TEC are TEC

what happens when orgs actually care about scouting TALENT
more investment and bolstering their academy resources would be good. hopefully it's similar to their LoL situation where they start dropping noticeably more money on other players outside of their systems
there any news about AG?
haven't been keeping up with stuff
they beat them both ONCE in stage 1
they weren't even top 8 in stage 2 💀
eh progress is progress. stage 2 nova wouldn't have done any better. if anything most of what they showed had a lot of legs for just a single offseason map. i can see the staff getting some wins if they can keep a spark going. remember that they still have a month until kickoff and 2 for stage 1
not really "better" but definitely playing more together compared to stage 2. maybe the new coaches can get something rolling by stage 1
I've been a fan of the org for a little bit now ever since I stumbled on their crossfire and league ventures, so hopping on when they joined valorant was a no-brainer. They signed the ASE core with bunt and monk alongside Ego as a coach when they first rejoined the scene, which only added more reasons for me to like them. Not only that but they carried over their crossfire business model into valorant and clearly are putting in extensive resources and money to create a sustainable system to unlock consistent upcoming talent, and that was what drove the nail in the coffin for me to believe in them as a company. Normally I don't like shilling for esports orgs (especially when they're questionably competent), but AG is where I make a big exception since their existence is objectively a net positive in every sense
jdg is owned by a conglomerate that's actually willing to spend money in video games. i don't think anyone outside of another conglomerate is going to outspend that
you got FPX making any of the masters or nah?
it's all on Bail to salvage this trash heap of an org. Ego got slaughtered last season and if Bail can't save them then idk if anyone can 💀
drop them here. bonus points if they're hot takes. i'll start
AT LEAST two chinese teams will make playoffs of champions Shanghai
i mean tier 2 china isn't really a "meta dependent" league. you need to have good overall mechanics + self sufficiency to succeed stat-wise in a league dominated by young mechanical prodigies like that
what's the downside to getting academy news?
not a successor, but his own brand of great. he'll be at the pinnacle in his own way if he develops well into tier 1. same boat as Zhxiossl imo
aimlabs is a good way to improve aim in a vacuum with how it establishes good fundamentals and habits. you gotta play regular games or deathmatch if you wanna get used to doing it in-game. it doesn't matter how good at static or dynamic clicking you are if you still mindlessly spray or panic
have him be the LifeGlazer to your BerLINglazer
yeah and that's why the stigma's gonna change with time once they slowly get more mainstream. they're alr a core part of streamer culture atp and it's only a matter of time until regular people start seeing the appeal through giving it a shot or being exposed
it's cuz it's associated with basement dwellers. it's similar to how anime was seen in some of the older eras of the internet. it's a newer form of expression & content and it jars a lot of people about how someone can find any meaningful connection or get a reaction out of someone demoting themselves to an artistic caricature. it's why people constantly associate vtuber fans with being parasocial, gooners, incels, or all three.
