contract's until the end of 2026, so there's a chance they hold onto him for a year in tier 2 before discussing possibility of renewal if they choose to still stay in the scene

posted 3 months ago

give him actual team comms and he's top 1

posted 3 months ago

either DRG go tier 2 and maintain his salary, another cn tier 1/2 team drops the bag, or he gets an actually good offer from an EMEA team that isn't literal pennies

posted 3 months ago

he would unironically save EMEA if he got good offers

went 30-36 against Tyloo and only went positive in the map they rofl stomped them in
xdll's either fragging better in prac and they want to take the chance or it's reactionary. ig we'll see

posted 3 months ago

depends on the standard ig. he hasn't been fragging in the recent games

posted 3 months ago

surely scrims are going well if they're doing this right?

AG rebuild their rosters regardless of if they do well every year lmfaooo. If they win they sell their players off and if they do bad they sell their players off or send them to academy. It's a guarantee that next year the lineup's going to be completely different. K1ra and deLb have the best chances of staying because I legit don't see the management wanting to let go of their potential

posted 3 months ago

reevaluation isn't based on performance. it's based on how much the org actually brings to the table in terms of investment and financial stability. if AG actually bring their academy infrastructure to val there is a very good chance they'll stay for a very long time, regardless of how they perform

posted 3 months ago

someone talking sense. this is AG's SECOND year in valorant where they've been fully investing into the scene, and they only started competing again after China's franchise was being discussed behind closed doors. with their memorandum and business model no fucking shit they're "bad" at the moment. admittedly I had more faith than I probably should've at the beginning of this year, but I forgot how hard rebuilds can be (with talent with no tier 1 experience, too). come 2026 they should have some hot talent coming in from their academies. hell, you could argue split 2 could be a breakout moment for them assuming the new kids are as good as ppl rumor them to be

posted 3 months ago

I give it a 95% chance that Hanche's gone by split 2. They have way too much academy and upcoming signings to where he'll be able to keep his spot if he continues performing like this. There are some rumors about them signing some ranked demons, so there's that to look forward to

posted 3 months ago

holy fucking shit for the last time it's NOT a 12 man roster. out of the 10 still registered two of the subs have buyouts, two are just subs, and xiyiji's a bonafide mascot. Hanche's a cheap talent that they transferred from Q9. AG management would rather castrate themselves than invest heavily into talent that is either

  1. Not a guarantee positive
  2. Not developed themselves

I don't think the management really gaf on whether or not they're going to win or qualify to an international right now as long as they can form a vice grip on upcoming talent come 2026 and beyond and build up a system that can reap benefits monetarily via buyouts and loaning out players. If anything from that alone I can see them staying in after reevaluation compared to bumfuck JDG

posted 3 months ago

AG are partnered with Qing Jiu Club. Some of Q9's players were old AG core, so that's where the whole recycling of players came from. I would cut them some slack tbh, considering a lot of the well performing ascension players most likely had massive buyouts from their respective orgs. This is how AG were in all of their crossfire ips. We probably won't start seeing massive uptick in player quality until 2026 at the earliest due to how important them establishing a talent pipeline is, and that's pretty much comprised of either raw unnurtured talent or old guard players who aren't worth much at this moment

mechanics aren't even the biggest problem. he hasn't called a masterclass since LOCKIN. despite getting 4th in Tokyo he wasn't really being a genius like he was in 2022, either. his midrounding has taken a noticeable nosedive more and more as the game has progressed and his adaptation isn't up to par nowadays

my main contention with the whole "3v5" narrative is that OBONE and o0o0o aren't actually that bad enough to where it's unplayable as long as they play situations properly. 2024 was criminal because they didn't but they're visibly better in that department. not enough to where they can win against international teams atm but it's getting there

posted 3 months ago

nah i'm korean not chinese and even then i live in america so not much overlap in terms of how many behind the scenes stuff I can tell anyone. from what i've heard there's a possibility of it being worked on at some point but nothing for this year

posted 3 months ago

OBONE is shit but as long as he doesn't hard troll like he did last year then he won't be too much of a liability. he was an actual terrorist in 2024 with how hard he was throwing. maybe he learned his lesson

"vookashu won multiple clutches & 1v2's because NOVA were on different roles. yes this is completely logical" so braindead xD

posted 3 months ago

they looked absolutely shit against DRG wtf are you talking about? did you watch the games??? vookahu going +24 in a 26-16???

posted 3 months ago

thanks for confirming that you're just braindead and advocate for reactionary solutions. i agree that OBONE is mid and shouldn't be playing but trying to pretend that anything but their overall gameplans and fundamentals should be their first priority is stupid af

posted 3 months ago

they're saying "two terrible players instead of just one" as if NOVA were winning anything in the first place with their subpar cohesion. they lose against DRG because EVERYONE was doing terribly outside of Ezeir and Vookashu was abusing that and going nuclear. pretending that nova's primary concern should be anything but their fundamentals and coordination is braindead af

coco's a slight upgrade. luke's a sidegrade. the roster in no way was improved enough in terms of firepower to be at level footing with the rest of the region

can't wait to see how he does against higher caliber teams. from an eye test he's not bad at all

pickup cracked academy team -> get sent to relegation because tier 1 team is ass -> promote academy team and defend position
sound logic to me

best for cn is FPX getting Shr1mp
worst is TEC getting Luke and coco

posted 3 months ago

apologies for not being clear but that's what I mean. i'm not saying the playerbase is terrible but that they're FUCKED from the start, but I feel like one team getting a good break is all they need to get a lineup into tier 1 with how raw the talent is over there regardless of RIOT region support

posted 3 months ago

thoughts on the talent overall? in CN you have Autumn, Swerl, and Maple all playing at a high to near top levels of CN. makes me feel that OCE isn't necessarily as hopeless as people make it seem
