"they all have pistols I can 1v5"

was on their academy team

they're not one of us 💯

posted 3 months ago

Trace changed their Abyss comp and I assume they prepped it and were confident about their Lotus. To be fair to them if it worked out it would've been a very smart decision

don't care!

also the amount of work Destroyer did was excellent throughout the year. definitely one of the best coaches in China by a long shot

posted 3 months ago

went from the C9 of China to defying expectations and finishing 8th in champs. even if they got lucky on the map vetos with their literal two best maps you can't lie that they didn't shock everyone. nt good luck next season just gotta keep grinding

posted 3 months ago

I see you saved your classic choke for playoffs! you did it so well you fooled me twice in groups!

posted 3 months ago

Destroyer probably prepped Abyss or improved their sunset. It's a good idea to not rely on Bind

posted 3 months ago

they both would've been terrible representatives let's not kid ourselves. they were abysmal in playoffs

posted 3 months ago

and what org did DRX lend him to during the offseason? ALL GAMERS 🗣️🗣️🗣️

posted 3 months ago

i'm talking about ppl left atm with the "under 100" comment. i don't think by grand finals anyone's gonna have perfect and on the off chance someone does it's not gonna be someone who actually watches vct

posted 3 months ago

it's definitely more than 0, but my guess is that it's under 100. by the end there's gonna be one person who gets it and it's an iron player who logs on once every 3 months to farm battle pass in unrated

posted 3 months ago

apart from some translation issues you did very well! looking forward to further contributions

posted 3 months ago

anyone else feel the same way? i'm stoked to see what roster moves some teams will pull

posted 3 months ago

i'm counting hk and tw into pacific since they're a part of the ascension league, but i'm not counting them as foreign talent. that's why I say that there are a LOT of alternatives to getting foreign talent, and that it's only considered when the problem of communication is already solved; or at the very least bridged enough to where most of it is mitigated

posted 3 months ago

yeah it's not like they're super desperate for foreign imports to where they're willing to cripple their own ability to coordinate. if Berlin somehow didn't know English they would've definitely settled for another solid Chinese player. and because the odds of a player knowing english is pretty high it's way easier for them to get foreign talent from pacific who also know english or mandarin as a 2nd language

posted 3 months ago

now THAT is true. those t2 teams are feining for results. but even then that'll fizzle out when more local talent gets developed in like 1-2 years

posted 3 months ago

it's an issue they overlooked because they could still at the end of the day communicate with him. Vookashu is the biggest outlier possible, and if the other teams wanted to add on their own carries they would've, but they didn't. AG stuck with their players and focused on improving fundamentals, Wolves signed a dedicated igl, NOVA simply made an upgrade, etc. The teams learned the hard way that a roster can't be made simply to be competitive off the jump with no longevity, which DRG doesn't have with their carry literally being no-comm for 95% of the shit they do

posted 3 months ago

yeah and? they still brought him on primarily because Berlin speaks english and can make calls with him. they wouldn't pick up a random OCE player with no way to communicate with him at all. and yet again they would just pull a player from pacific instead of americas anyways yk?

posted 3 months ago

Berlin translates for Autumn so the barrier is mitigated quite a bit. idk about Tyloo but I'm pretty sure the same can be assumed from the improvement they had in the 2nd split with slk as the assistant coach. the only team you could argue doesn't gaf is DRG and vookashu is a literal raid boss and bails them out of every disadvantage against the shittier teams in the region

posted 3 months ago

unless the player can speak mandarin i don't see any teams in CN importing an Americas player when they could pull from Pacific. there's also a saturation of good mechanical talent in CN so why would they go for an American alternative

posted 3 months ago

mindreak at #1, karon at 5, and luoking at 6 is crazy work

posted 3 months ago

it would go hard but I HOPE that shit doesn't happen

posted 3 months ago

he's brilliant when it comes to reading the meta and how to play around it instead of through it (unlike a certain SEA dinosaur team). they need to either reevaluate how they perceive their approaches to issues, or revamp their staff to implement a system that promotes longevity. that's really the only way I can see them cultivating into the world class team they definitely have the talent to be

posted 3 months ago

wasn't talking about you but the ppl who have been advocating for his removal due to his quiet performances. the language barrier isn't really a prevalent issue; an issue yes but not the ones that have them lose like this. the comp was definitely a reaction to their poor performances against certain gameplans, and they expected that it would patch a hole in their overheating (which it fucking didn't)

posted 3 months ago

during Shanghai and even during the Heretics game he was pretty fucking clutch. they don't need another fragger, and anyone who says he's the issue do NOT want the issue to be fixed

posted 3 months ago

he's not after levels of incompetent. they should keep him but NOT as head coach. his portfolio with their comps is pretty fucking good outside of this disasterclass today

posted 3 months ago

from results alone they should keep the same roster and not make changes. they need to overhaul the staff and make a system that actually incentivizes long term improvement. they can't gimmick their way around dry peeking through a choke one by one

posted 3 months ago

relegate him to an analyst atp just put him on cooking duty

posted 3 months ago

really good point but personally my main issue is that fundamentally they've looked pretty shaky the entire year, and it was obvious to anyone watching CN that they were the same exact team that they were at shanghai, which made them pretty iffy up to this point. like at no point in split 2 did they look "better"

posted 3 months ago

hopefully you'll actually put in the effort to improve your fundamentals for next season o7

posted 3 months ago

i'm pretty sure the logic was "if life is on viper surely he'll play safe!" but when he's on perma duelist the entire season that's not really how it works especially when every single important game he's on either raze or yoru

posted 3 months ago

honestly idfk outside of getting a foreign one. maybe one from the better performing CN tier 2 teams? honestly anything would be better than them getting "we need to change our comps" every time they hit a roadblock

posted 3 months ago

he has really good reads on meta & comps but every so often he'll miss hard. they need an assistant coach that actually stresses fundamentals or some shit

posted 3 months ago

average NathanD overcook

posted 3 months ago

they are never beating the choker allegations if they lose this 😭

posted 3 months ago

reminding me of their 2023 form ngl

posted 3 months ago

plays literally every role well & has clutched for wolves in multiple situations

posted 3 months ago

exactly like comparing any of the top 3 chinese teams to them is lowkey underplaying how good they actually are lol

posted 3 months ago

comparing any of these teams to PRX is a disservice to their efforts

posted 3 months ago

they're fundamentally sound, strategically heavy, and great mechanically. their map pool is probably their biggest question mark atm but overall they're definitely in the upper echelon of teams here

posted 3 months ago

better than last champs fr

posted 3 months ago

^this
gonna have to see how they do against other teams who are in form. not saying they AREN'T top 4 but it's not enough rn

posted 3 months ago

may prx win against fut so we can get the rivalry classic 🙏
