posted 3 months ago

barring xlg they got close to the best draws possible. edg blg and drg are all very able to win at least their first games

FACTS brother. spit your shit indeed!

posted 3 months ago

ungrateful NRG fan crying in despair while getting 2nd and qualifying for champs. so greedy

pretty good? china fucking CLEARS

posted 3 months ago

fun to watch for a map and then it's just whzy gapping mada and nephh dancing around ethan's attempts to have s0m get kills

posted 3 months ago

lowkey hoping we don't get a BLG NRG rematch because nephh would eat ethan alive 💀

posted 3 months ago

yeah if anything the Chinese bracket probably played out the most "fair" out of all the regions in how the final seeding of the representatives displayed the overall skill of their split 2

posted 3 months ago

not rly true considering EDG's 3rd seed AND got 3rd in playoffs so the end result would've been the same

he's trying to salvage whatever mental he has when his calling is getting actively dismantled in their qualification game

Those boys at BLG won China huh... We better keep our ass in Americas!!! Or we're FINISHED!

This isn't SEN against G2. It's SEN against themselves and they HATE those odds!

posted 3 months ago

a battle of the bottoms event would be cool for like 2 games and then get old extremely quick

posted 3 months ago

don't know who's gonna get playtime this series. depends on how they're feeling

posted 3 months ago

maybe the age restriction if that applies to EVO since it's a part of vct cn

posted 3 months ago

was. he's been chilling since 2022. i say he's "former ag academy" kinda as a meme but he's still currently probably one of the best players to be affiliated with them at one point

posted 3 months ago

Rachel, T1an, and YiMing are youth program players iirc. pretty sure Croudy is too

posted 3 months ago

yo

posted 3 months ago

pretty much. very big possibility they replace some ppl we don't expect though depending on who they decide to try to sell. the fact they got 3 new ppl that are potentially going to get playtime means that anything can happen

posted 3 months ago

well he is secondary caller so you're not wrong. he just isn't igl

posted 3 months ago

I hope they all get playtime tbh i'm curious to see how they do before they make any 2026 roster decisions

posted 3 months ago

everyone doesn't because they just assume non-chinese = can't speak mandarin

posted 3 months ago

ignoring the whole concept of them, y'know, selling people Hanche's gone 100%. bro is not consistent enough at all, sucked on duelist, and isn't competitive enough on anchor to contest with the upper echelon of sentinel talent. deLb's the main caller so he's very hard to replace and they literally got rid of their stage 1 igl in favor of transitioning him to it because it just gave better results. Shr1mp, K1ra, and Spitfires are all extremely good talent prospects so keeping them would be the obvious decision if you're trying to maintain any core so i'd probably do that assuming there wasn't any more promising options in academy

posted 3 months ago

they have completely no info in past seasons and from what i've seen not many people in weibo have much of an idea either outside of "they're fine". if i had to guess the management is going to do the same thing they did last season and just throw out the various players they're considering promoting before the next season to see how they do. considering Hanche's just gone there's a good chance he got redemoted lol, and i doubt that XiYiJi would come back unless he somehow performs way more in scrims for them to give him a chance again

BLG fielding their academy roster lfg

posted 3 months ago

got 3 newcomers for EVO Act 3. no idea who they are whether they're brand new academy prospects or just temporary players while they do stuff in the offseason but it'll be interesting regardless if they're fielded instead of xiyiji or smth

we're about to see Aurora somehow commit their biggest choke against their group stage arch rivals 💔

and they said we were entering the Vitality era 😂

Tyloo's roles got significantly better after picking up yoyo so no not really

posted 3 months ago

This year is riddled with growing pains imo. Most teams are actually trying to incorporate sensibilities and good fundamentals while the huge new guard of rookies are also getting accommodated. Makes the trajectory of teams way more awkward than it would be normally

posted 3 months ago

Yeah I was hoping it'd be closer, but top 6 is admirable for how cooked stage 1 was

posted 3 months ago

Unfortunate for the season to end like that, but after split 1 and where everything was before anything better than a single series win would've been enough for me to feel content. I'll update this thread as they make moves in their off-season. They definitely will do stuff with their academy team. Overall a great split 2 and good implications for next year.

1-1 my friend

posted 3 months ago

Yeah if they weren't rich they wouldn't be running such expensive academy teams in Val and crossfire

posted 3 months ago

Nah they're pretty loaded for a pure e-sports org. It's more of a business model that they go budget a lot

posted 3 months ago

Personal bias aside XLG at champs will go hard. They need respect after that fucked series of events leading up to Toronto
