sure lets see next year

posted about 3 years ago

They got fucked by DRX and PRX and pretty badly by FPX on Fracture. Same with Haven vs PRX. And their Icebox isn't good. Its just yay carrying them usually. Like they are getting hard owned on these maps against good teams.

posted about 3 years ago

They have good record on it lately tho if I'm not wrong. Before Champions obviously. I just think that their map pool isn't as convincing anymore because teams know how they play and some results show that. Not picking Bind was bit surprising, but I guess LOUD are good on it and OpTic maybe tried to bait them into preparing for it.

posted about 3 years ago

True unless OpTic reverse sweeps. OpTic has been bit meh for some time. Not bad, but not as good as before. They constantly get 13-5>'d by teams nowadays. Its not good look even if they end up coming back.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't know maybe their map pool just isn't that good anymore. Breeze has been one of their best maps as of late. They have been rolled on maps like Fracture and Haven(?). And their Icebox is pretty weak and is just Yay show.

I didn't even realize the game started. What happened? 11-1 first half??

Fnatic doesn't have to replace Boaster or Mini tho. And 7ssk7 is good when in form. He has been inconsistent in the past, but he put up nice performances during Stage 2 and LCQ. At least he is better and more proven than d3ffo or purp0. And also need to remember that he was playing on NaVi that had problems of their own. He could perform well in roster that has better support players.

I'm fan of TL like all of EMEA but I'm not delusional like most fans are

posted about 3 years ago

Was he tho? I was pretty disappointed of his performance during Copenhagen. He kept Fnatic in the tournament due to clutches on Bind, but outside of that he didn't perform to my expectations. In EMEA he was cold and good at anchoring and clutch situation while having arguably 2nd best Fade util at time (behind Shao). But on LAN he has looked pretty shaky most of time and a lot of times he seems to be pretty unaware of what is happening around him Easy to say as spectator. And even his utility has felt weaker. Reminds me a lot of him during Reykjavik even if he was a sub. Just really shaky and tunnel vision at times.

Oh yeah forgot that, but meant vs 100T. Japan was garbage back then.

yeah but its banter afterall

This. Most EMEA teams have always missed that final piece. Even when Gambit was on top their duelist role was clear problem. Hopefully this will get fixed for next year and I really really hope orgs actually spend the money to build super rosters.
Just think of fantasy teams like M3C +7ssk7, Fnatic +Leo and hoody/sheydos, Guild +nukkye or hoody/sheydos, TL +Koldamenta or Redgar, NaVi +nAts, Redgar, sheydos/Chronicle etc. Many of them are unlikely, but damn would these already decent teams get upgraded.

posted about 3 years ago

Non-EMEA fans need to remember this as well because they always act like if they won the tournament after beating EMEA teams.... Like if they defeated the Goliath.

posted about 3 years ago

I know that this is bait, but EMEA will have stacked af teams next year as long as orgs actually put in the money. Many rosters with clear problems could get fixed for next year. Players from Guild, M3C and Acend(mainly cNed and Monster) will hopefully get poached by orgs like TL, G2, NaVi, Fnatic(mby). And yes that will also happen with other regions, but I don't think it would make as big of a difference. Like think M3C with proper duelist like 7ssk7, or TL with proper IGL, G2 with proper IGL, Fnatic with firepower upgrade, Guild but without Russ etc.

Gambit lost their first game and still won the whole event. Its not over yet. TL didn't look impressive against Leviatan, but then again Leviatan played super well and even 2-0'd PRX. And maybe as COPIUM take or maybe I'm clueless I think TL should match up pretty well against EDG and PRX considering that you don't have to outsmart them too much because they play so different anyway. Just confidence and clicking heads. And Fnatic has all the chances to beat Furia or DRX/100T as long as they don't lose good mental and their players perform to somewhat ok level (Enzo, Mistic, Boaster mainly).

posted about 3 years ago

yeah their half shields buys threw them rounds and their pistols aren't the best but Enzo going -18 no matter how big of a role player he is and Mistic going -9 on last map and way overperformed on Bind compared to his average while Boaster the IGL goes -20 just isn't enough. Compared to Derke +18 and Alfajer +5 even with weaker first map. Obviously you can't put everything on stats because of different roles and such, but Fnatic feel really similar to XSET right now where its just Cryo and Zekken while other 3 put up bad performances consistently.

Like look at teams like OpTic having Yay, Marved and crashies who are all good individually even if Victor (hard entry so understandable kinda) and FNS didn't perform as well. FPX with Shao, Suygetsu, Ardiis and Zyppan at times. PRX with Jingg, Forsaken, Mindfreak etc. 3 out of Fnatic's 5 just aren't that good individually or at least not consistently.

posted about 3 years ago

Boaster is fine. He does his job fine even if his fragging is weak. Its just having him being inconsistent and bad individually most of the time and then having Enzo and Mistic who are also inconsistent is just really bad thing. They brought Alfajer in for firepower, but I don't think that is enough.

flair = fan or I mean yeah I am fan but not like that

posted about 3 years ago

The Guard looked pretty bad during the finals though.

posted about 3 years ago

Sadly Enzo has been really disappointing in every LAN tournament so far. He looked good during stage 2 of EMEA but never delivers on LAN (outside of couple clutches). He just looks shaky and kind of clueless often. Its not time for replacement yet, but he needs to step up.

Grats! First win against EMEA team in 350 days!

yeah they are getting fucked by smgs every time

Risky map pick from Fnatic that ended up costing them first map

posted about 3 years ago

You can believe that you have good idea of it but it can still suck when playing officials. Why do you think teams come up with crazy comps and strats that end up sucking in officials? International tournaments are where metas get defined.

posted about 3 years ago

Its still new map with really limited amount of international games. Teams are still figuring out how to play it and it will evolve much during Champions and after. 100T just had better idea and that's it.

posted about 3 years ago

I mean its no brainer considering that 100T came out of LCQ so little time to prepare. But my point is that even with more prepare time you may still have worse idea of the map.

posted about 3 years ago

first Pearl official for both of the teams. Fnatic had more time to prepare and scrim but that doesn't mean they are automatically better when it comes to prep and strats etc

posted about 3 years ago

looks fun so far

they want to give 100T a chance

Best coach and alfa

Whoever wins TL vs EDG will get out of groups because of 2nd place curse. Unlucky for PRX maybe should have threw against OpTic or won over FPX.

What does VLR mean in Valorant?
Frags. VLR = Valve Lost to Riot.

Shao clears crashies

posted about 3 years ago

True, but people are still for some reason overrating OpTic or underrating other teams. They looed completely beatable during Copenhagen getting shit on on some maps by teams like PRX, FPX, DRX. They are not on their prime anymore.

posted about 3 years ago

I assumed he meant that if these Champ teams were playing CSGO instead of Valorant because otherwise it doesn't make any sense. Why not type "who will win next CSGO major" if that was the case. Nothing to do with Champs or Valorant.

posted about 3 years ago

I'm not Liquid fan. I'm EMEA fan and support every EMEA team as much (outside of Turkey). And how is my take wrong? Team Liquid as whole has arguably most experience in CSGO and talent.

posted about 3 years ago

If same players played CSGO then maybe Team Liquid?
Jamppi and Nivera were both young prodigies. Scream has long history even tho he was bit washed towards the end. Dimasick also used to play. And soulcas has played CSGO before but don't know about his career outside of that he likely wasn't great.

posted about 3 years ago

Do you mean if same teams and players played CSGO instead of Valorant?

Optic Pause

match isn't over yet so stop these posts plus OpTic already looked pretty beatable in Copenhagen so team like BOOM winning map isn't unexpected

with core of Cloud and 7ssk7 they can come up with something nice

Does Twisten speak Russian? I doubt it.

Yeah Zeddy's stats may not show that, but IMO he was pretty good. Really hoping he will find a spot in other team because he has potential.
