Chronicle said in the interview that he doesn't want Riot to split EMEA, because CIS would die.
Acend has stepped up so much from groups stage (outside of Envy game). Kind of how Gambit did in Masters 3. This game from Acend was nothing like their game against VK.
They just had bad game while Acend had good game.
Acend players just turned up while Team Liquid's didn't. Every Acend player was having crazy good performance. starxo has been pretty mediocre whole tournament, but here he got back to online form and dominated. Kiles had one of the best games I've seen from him online and LAN. cNed and zeek dominated like always. And BONECOLD was getting a lot of value as well.
Liquid wouldn't be here without Jamppi wtf. He was like best or 2nd best TL player in LCQ. He didn't have great performance in semis, but he is such a important piece of TL.
Kiles and Starxo are having their best LAN games so far.
Team Liquid doesn't look like themselves tbh. They usually play so smart, but now are just running to sites and constantly not covering for their teammates etc. Completely opposite to what they normally are. Acend playing really well though.
I don't really understand why Team Liquid didn't ban Bind unless their Fracture is completely ass. Acend wasn't crazy on Fracture either and they dominate Bind.
Its new stage, but just has almost identical style. I'm pretty sure they changed stages for final ceremony that is happening outside of the venue.
Its different stage, but they use same elements so it looks similar. I'm pretty sure
I just switched from wireless to wired (with good cable and bungee) and I don't see much of difference. I'm aiming even better, because this shape suits me more. Obviously I don't know what "high sens" means. But good for you!
Fnatic kind of overrated. They literally only won on Icebox and Fracture.
You are talking facts, but that's just how it goes sadly. Just look at Twitch chat after Acend won against Team Secret and there were bunch of people being negative towards Acend. Its not as bad anymore, but people don't seem to respect them much.
Acend is good team. They aren't just that hyped, because people don't care that much about them. Acend as org is unknown and their players outside of cNed are pretty unknown as well (internationally). Also they are going against Team Liquid who are the favorites. And sadly they unwillingly took one of the "villain" roles due to that VK game incident. And because of this "cNed and friends" meme thing not that many people give respect to rest of Acend. Really sad that Acend vs TL is elimination game...
KRU beat both Sentinels and Fnatic on Haven and Split. Haven is Gambit's perma ban and they are decent Split team. So KRU has to win on some other map as well. Let it be Icebox, Bind, Ascent, Fracture or Breeze. Even if you look at Fnatic they only won on Icebox (3/3) and Fracture (2/2), and lost all other maps aka Haven (0/2) and Split (0/2). We don't know how competitive KRU can be in other maps when they always opt to play Haven and Split.
but obviously Gambit will lose, because Kenzit is too op and he ate good breakfast I heard...
For like 3 years I'm pretty sure. But, its pretty good move from Fnatic since Magnum is still young and he is talented. Maybe had weaker series today, but showed off in other games.
Spain colonized both Chile and Argentina, so we will claim those as European states.
Yeah that was tragic. I don't really know what Doma was doing there. It was trash plant for KRU's Astra and Sova who were out of sight and their Jett was in bad position as well. And while both Mistic and Derke were holding that Jett already, Doma just stood there aiming at same direction. Then he pretty much stands there holding Skye flash as long as it would take to defuse half. Then Derke dies and Doma decides to take duel and loses. Like what is the difference between defusing or just holding flash in hand if the enemy decides to run at you? At least fake defuse or something. KRU literally gave that to Fnatic, but they couldn't take it. And it was 12-9 for Fnatic. Unlucky and maybe comms were unclear. And obviously its easy to say this as spectator.
idk man I just remember Magnum sitting behind A pyramids as Killjoy and ulting there and dying non stop lol
Boaster's whiffs costed them couple rounds and Derke was on fire on Haven, but disappeared in the end and missed couple important OP shots. Kind of unlucko. But, nice try from Fnatic and great playing from KRU!
To be fair Fnatic assistant coach is only NA member left in Champions.
GG! Fnatic is choking so hard. Pistol round was tragic. Doma killing Derke. Doma dying to spike. Derke killing himself (in game). What is happening?!
That was kind of bad from Fnatic. They wasted like all their ultis against SMGs and still lost. And after that Derke couldn't hit pretty easy OP shots. But shit happens no problem.
ok nvm Derke whiffing bad right now
I don't think Derke has been the problem. Boaster lost Fnatic like 2 rounds because he whiffed easy kills.
Their teamwork is so fucking good. Both Fnatic and Team Liquid play so well off each other. That was one of the bright spots of Sentinels during Iceland. They just went into a site and fully trusted their teammates to cover. Now other teams have catch up and its beautiful.
Next season of OWL will be played in Alpha version of OW2 I'm pretty sure. I don't know how it will work, but that's their plan. Its weird situation, but at last they haven't said that they would cancel that especially when teams have made changes for 5v5 already.
They are also adding some new maps, new heroes, base gaming is going from 6v6 to 5v5 (2 dps, 2 support, 1 tank). There's some hero reworks and for example tank role is going to change little and they are getting new abilities etc. Then ofc engine update that adds better visuals and sounds etc. Its pretty big update even for PVP.
True, but for someone who likes Overwatch its still pretty hype because there will be new content and stuff. And I would imagine that Patiphan still likes Overwatch, because he pretty much switched just because he was too young. He only turned 18 (minimum age in OWL) like 3 months ago. Plus OWL minimum wage is like $50k per season and he is joining one of the most money spending teams meaning that he is most likely making even more so he is still making more than in SEA Valorant.
He is going to play in "NA" team. And he was OW prodigy before, but was way too young to compete in tier 1. Plus next OWL season is being played in OW2, so that's pretty hype and many teams are signing new talent and seems like he still has love towards the game. And obviously he is going to get paid more than in SEA Valorant.
Top 4 in Champions and tbh that is extremely good considering that they have the biggest target on their head. And they pretty much helped every team with their Masters 3 run, because every team is copying nAts lol
Xeppaa isn't the worst player, but he has been the worst player in quarterfinals so far, especially considering his role in C9.
I don't think TL were supposed to lose that. They don't play Bind that much, but lately got beaten by both Acend (best Bind team) and Sentinels (who looked insane) so it isn't that big of a problem. Obviously winning becomes harder for C9 going into map 2. But, this wasn't must win exactly.
He had good idea, but timing was bad and Nivera hit insane shot
I mean these picks aren't bad for TL, but they are good for C9. TL's Bind was trash against SEN, but they aren't terrible on it normally.
How is there less storyline in EU than in NA? I'm sorry EU isn't full of washed up tier 2 CSGO players...
Let's not celebrate too early. Maybe after C9 vs TL, but not yet.
Respect to Team Secret. Great tournament from them and they showed some great gameplay! Cool personalities as well! Big step for SEA.
Yeah, but everyone thought X10 was trash after their first game against Envy.
Clearly nerves hitting rest of Acend. Kiles and BONECOLD both whiffing easy shots and look shaky.
