yeah so my fix is to have 3 regular seasons with each team playing 2.5 games a week, on average. regular season is super fast paced, and also playoffs will be more stretched out to accomodate 8 team double elim.

seasons happen 3 weeks after each major tournament and there are 2 weeks between each season and masters
each team plays 2-3 games a week in each regular season, which translates to ~4 weeks for round robin. playoffs will be 2 weeks
this makes:
5 weeks regular season round robin
2 weeks playoffs
2.5 weeks break
2.5 weeks masters 1
3 weeks break
repeat allat for masters 2 and champs, except champs is instead 3.5 weeks long
this gives 43 week regular season with 9 weeks off season (mostly november, december)
patches happen at the end of each masters, and none of the masters are mickey because there's no double elim qualification or 8 teams.
