stax ain’t clouted like that, i can name 10 all time stax stinkers in playoffs on the top of my head
they didn’t drop FNC. FNS pretty much retired. But, i think ppl are missing the reason why NRG played. They literally gave the igl role to a non-igl who just joined the team. He has no real experience playing the way NRG played, and they pretty much played with the main goal of setting up demon1 for success which didn’t work out since demon1 hasn’t been performance. Also, you have no idea what micro or macro is, because you can’t even call out what exactly went wrong with NRG. FNA’s whole thing was his micro was excellent, especially mid round.
What’s the point of keeping stax over flashback then
I don’t understand your point with DRX. They dropped stax bc his micro was bad. Isn’t getting rid of the weak point a good thing.
As i tried to explain b4, icebox is literally there worst map. Everytime they try to do something new on the map and give it a shot. they utterly fail again. Look at all their icebox maps b4, and you will see it’s the same thing all the time. Yet on other maps they are pretty decent. Also, you can literally tell they gave up after round 7.
Zeta are better than BLEED, DFM, and GE. They are just really inconsistent as a team, and have 2 extremely bad maps
edit. Also, t1 is 2-5 rn. If they lose another game they are guaranteed out of playoffs
whereas TS is 5-3 rn.
To be fair, they have both T1 and Gen G to play. However, TS is a more than capable of beating t1
Also map differential and round diff heavily favors TS
did really struggle, only played bad on one map. And if you see his previous performances on sunset. You can tell that he isn’t comfortable on the map at all
If the script writers really wanna cook a feast. It’s gonna be DRX vs Gen G or DRX vs Heretics
no it’s not. In most cases, the best player doesn’t even play for the best team. In the GF match. Leo was the best in the lobby. It’s as simple as that. At the end of the day, the player that has the best stats, played the best when it really matter and performed the best overall is the best player
Leo was the best player on the the team that won stage 1. Had higher rating acs and was better in nearly every statistical category
yeah i meant they were in a 3-way tie for the 2nd best in the team behind woot
it was Leo. Benjy was probably 2nd tho. But my point was that there still wasn’t a clear best player on TH. When benjy had a few insane performances and everyone jumped the gun.
why as a PRX fan do you hate DRX. All the players are cool/friends with each other
I think platchat ranking him so high for best players at shanghai was kinda unfair to benjy. He is really good, but I think heretics dominance in stage 1 was mostly due to the fact they have 0 weak points as a team in terms of firepower, even Boo is pretty solid . Benjy had a few stand out performances and everyone just decided he was the best on the team at the time, when that really isn’t the case. Hes pretty much in a 3-way tie between him reins and miniboo. All elite players in their own rights
Would be unstoppable… anyone else agree?
I can’t what i really want to say since im a DRX fan but i agree
get a new igl, or coach or something bruh. A falloff like this is actually insane. You don’t just get this much worse if there isn’t some issues with igl or coaching. They obviously have the talent so it’s gotta a gameplan/strat issue
edit: I understand Leo was probably their best or 2nd best player. But Hiro is solid enough. There have been worse teams that have performed better with a sub. They are so reliant on pop off games now.
guler gets benched by bellingham on a weekly basis. They literally play for same club
They are not too far away from each other, but bellingham still clears
Only if the pistols are 1-1 or 0-2. If you win 13-8 after winning both pistols, it’s not that convincing. Most of the time it basically gives you 4 free round given you don’t mess up.
let’s put it this way. In the upper final and the grand final of madrid. Karon total combined acs was 168. Yes ypu can argue gen g had a dominant win in both series even though grand finals went to 5 maps. MaKo never had a team good enough to do that and actually win so please stop nitpicking and actually look at the broad scale. Karon has never had stats anywhere near as good as MaKo’s but his team. Winning a masters don’t mean you have the best players in every role. A players skill is determined by individual performance, not team performance. so stop weighing team success into this debate when he isn’t even the best player on gen g
more than half the list he showed aren’t domestic. If this is your argument, that also means you think angel or boaster or zellsis is better than MaKo because they won a trophy, don’t confuse team success with individual success. If Karon was the best player on his team, his team would be lower to mid table in apac region alone. He’s the 3rd best player on his own team, insane how you can make such a dumb argument and defend it with an even dumber claims

DRX top 3 in pacific while being the youngest team… nice
in terms of success meL and alexis but individually they aren’t better than mini, they just get carried
mimi is the goat.
Vania gonna get there one day tho
i just realized that they are probably not gonna make playoffs… wtf
I common trait for all people that dislike/ are annoyed at DRX for making these changes is that they have selective memory.
Nobody ever said these players were bad. But the whole problem (same problem with DRX for years) is inconsistency. They can go from looking insane to looking horrible in the span on days. And people only seem to remember the good, not the bad.
do me a favor and check his stats at champs real quick
okay bro, what’s done is done. No point in playing a guessing game. Also, Rb’s replacement is flashback not foxy9. Zest’s replacement was foxy9
whatever you opinion is on the situation is, it’s doesn’t change anything. what’s done is done. No need to keep critiquing them, DRX are still in it for the long run, and korea has some of the best talent in esports in general. Whatever happens, happens, that’s it.
3rd year in a row getting hard carried. 2022 it was bob on c9w now its flor. How do they keep getting away with this.
never seen someone say she was tier 1 level. Not a single person thinks that
Winner: Portugal
Runner-up: England
Underdog: denmark
Golden boot: Ronaldo
Player of the tournament: Ronaldo
Icebox, Bind, Split, Ascent, Lotus
Aside from the match against Gen G in kickoff. DRX have won all of there map picks across all of the maps above. This is a testament to termi’s preparation and planning. Never losing your map pick is a great way to start a young team. Looking forwards to the rest of the year.
#DRXWIN
how do stage 2 playoffs work?
This is the correct argument. Like Karon has had games where he played average or bad and his team still wins easily. The teams are not the same at all
that’s true, i didn’t actually look into it. Guess that subset really isn’t his map. Also another example of how dependent DRX are on MaKo playing well
only 1 of the 5 players were consistent. That’s literally what everyone knows and says, how don’t you know that
Seems like his omen and viper are night and day this year. All of his worst performances are on omen. Tbh you can look at any Cobtroller in the worlds stats on omen even Karon and it’s nothing to write home about but do you think someone else should take that omen role and have Mako stick to viper and astra maybe
not to mention that fact that the best teams of last year have all gotten worse due to a massive shift in the meta. This thing always comes down to long term consistency, so i agree, it’s always best to just wait and see.
The classic VLR overreaction rage bait
Just a few days ago, ppl were debating if Karon surpassed MaKo all time, and most people said no because he hadn’t had an individual performance at a masters close to MaKo YET.
But now a good performance in week 1 of stage 2 pushes him past MaKo
Karon can def do it if he keeps it up and DRX don’t do well tho
Leo, eeiu, david. Winning masters don’t mean you have the best player in every role. It’s a team effort, which includes coaching and
In fact i would guess having a top 5 player in every role is enough to be the best team itw. That’s not the case with gen g bc i think they have the best duelist and senti but you get the point
sure, but also, don’t lump in team success with individual performance.
They way to do these comparisons is to but both players in the other’s shoes and think about how well they would do in the others situation.
ie. imagine how well Karon would do on DRX from 2022-2024
and how well MaKo would do on Gen G 2024
if that’s the case, that means lakia is the best initiator in the world
Tbh, with MaKo igling right now, i’ll give Karon the edge.
Aside from that, this argument is annoying because people holds team success over individual performances. However, MaKo without the burden of being igl is better
