People underrating KOI because they lost to arguably top-5 team in the tournament lmao
LIterally all EMEA teams made it to playoffs, M3C or G2 would do it as well
Neither South America nor Asia achieved the same
3 EMEA slots? Meanwhile 4 teams from South America and 6 from Asia participate? You think that's good?
It's been 3 years and a good international tournament format is yet to be seen

Wdym as usual? It's not like they were any good before
Early Sentinels could be compared to bottom tier2 EMEA or NA team right now
It's insane how bad the gameplay was at the beginning
Zombs and Sick were rightfully kicked, overrated players
Like they showed up against TSM and Guard?
Honest question, who's better by gameplay right now, FUT or BBL?
Despite advancing, FUT had a much easier opponent.
A lot of non-franchised teams are better than at least half of franchised teams
Classic Fnatic overreaction
You know this Lock-In tournament is 1 of 3 global events we will have in the entire year, right?
It's not like there will be a lot of international action ahead. Only Masters Tokyo and Champions, that's it.
If you support RRQ assuming by your flag, this match against FUT might have been their first and last match on international stage. But if there was double or triple elim, RRQ would play more games.
Much better than having format where 16 teams go home after playing 2-3 maps.
The point is even unimportant CSGO events like EPL have more fruitful formats than Valorant's one of three tournaments in a year.
True. Valorant events formats are the worst among any esports.
Is this supposed to be an insult? 💀
BR is 1 team region. EMEA and NA have many teams.
BBL lost against top-4 team
I think it was 5 filipinos and 1 indonesian initially
In fact they would spend less money if they signed 5 best indonesians straight away, instead of later terminating signed contracts with 2 filipinos
Pretty sure 4th-5th teams from any league will be way stronger than China 2nd seed
None
There is no best player in Valorant and has never been
You haven't been looking into this enough then
That's because you're on VLR where everyone is more or less informed about the scene
Casual Valorant viewers (like those in twitch chat) will say Boaster is the best
Popularity directly correlates with rating
Vast majority of Valorant viewers outside of NA will say Boaster is the best IGL in the world, simply because they know about him more than about anyone else
Same way it works with Tenz for example
Tenz fans still think he's the GOAT of the game, despite him not doing anything since Reykjavik
Twitter followers say otherwise
It's not 60% chance. It's less. 40% at best. NA league is very competitive.
What's 20-30M? Aren't ascension winners coming back to ascension after 2 years or so?
I'm literally gonna come back to this comment when Guard don't win Ascension
My guy it's been 2.5 years of Valorant and you still didn't realize that these are anyone's events?
Valorant is among the most random esport titles, in the sense of what's happening during tournaments and how often underdogs beat favourites.
The fact that there are only 13 rounds to win, and if you secure both pistols the map is almost always yours, is...
Not to mention always-changing meta and relatively low aiming ceiling. There's a reason why even minor regions pop off in Valorant on the same level as EMEA and NA.
Yes, it is gamble.
Who would have thought Acend was gonna win Champions 2021? Or LOUD win Champions 2022?
Valorant tournaments are anyone's tournaments. Guard might be favourites right now, but very much likely someone else will get the trophy.
2nd part is not easy by any means
Especially in a game like Valorant where anyone beats anyone on any given day
Winning Ascension is a gamble
They would have to win Ascension for that
Which is a risk itself
Valorant current model is simply bad
Playing in low tier Ascension for years to come doesn't sound like a good investment with inflated NA salaries
Tell me you've never watched CS without telling me you've never watched CS
Somehow CSGO is still the most prestige FPS title to date, and you can't debate it because it's true.
Lower skill ceiling in Valorant makes even mechanically best players equal to tier3 CS rejects
What past genocides have to do with violent crime per capita in the present?
Would you say the same if Talon got 1st rounded?
Now think what KOI fans feel, for example
MENA teams are worse than BBL or FUT
I don't care how popular players are. We're talking about skill.
A Turkish or European person can name players on FUT and not on GE. What kind of logic is that? Or are we valuing clout over skill now?
Skill ceiling in Valorant is lower, obviously best CS players will be as good as the tier3 CS rejects, there's not much room to grow
Fut still better than DFM, RRQ, GE, TS, and possibly T1/Gen.G
And that's why even tier3-tier5 CS rejects successfully make a living off Valorant?
