high risk high reward. something to throw 100t off. somedays it works, most days it doesn't.

Sentinels won the first international event in the Valorant competitive scene, VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Stage 2 Masters – Reykjavík, without losing any map points. They beat Fnatic 3-0, and thats how shit started to snowball.

NA(mostly USA)'s CS GO scene was dead at this point. As Valorant rose in popularity, most fans wanted to figure out who the "best" player is and TenZ was fast becoming the face of Valorant - atleast in NA. When a game starts gaining popularity in USA, and their players start streaming - the word gets out quick and further increases the popularity. You might think, why not teams and players from EU or other regions get that much attention, well it might seem shallow but its all about the $$$. The American audience is what brings in the money, the corporate sponsors and the hype.

Sentinels was in the middle of all this, and they have been very very smart regardless of what the critics on this forum have to say. They understand that although the competition is good and winning trophies is important, nothing beats what gets the money in for Riot and everyone involved - viewership and sponsors. That is why, they bring in people like Shroud who have a lot of fan-base following even if it means they lose the LCQ. Does it work? You know the answer.

Honestly those were my reasons on why SEN should've closed the matches vs Guard and 100t. Like I just assumed they would win Breeze and close 100T 2-0 simply because they won Breeze against SR and Guard. Imagine 100T mental when they were coming from a loss against Faze and then lost a double OT on Fracture, next map : Breeze which is usually SEN #1 pick.

Now I don't really know - I guess most teams can beat each other on a given day and we just read too much from the outside, mostly in favor of the team we support.

agreed but :

Xeppaa once spoke about how the teams playing against SEN(even when they were not good) always felt x2 more nervous and scared because of the viewership and the hype around the game. Individual players felt one small mistake would be seen under a microscope.

The match vs Guard was Guard's first match aswell (after losing to T2/T3 teams in mickey mouse tourneys). 100T was also coming from a loss against Faze before their match against SEN.

Agreed SEN put up a great show

good but would that ever happen in a pro match? I mean does the opposition know about high-low or holding crossfire? they gave him 5 1v1s except the first 2 kills.

more like getting 5 kills in a deathmatch lol

dont care about the competition or the team/individual players growing and becoming better over the time.

its all about the hype and the memes. it will always remain that way because as hard you try - Valorant will always be a video game, not a real sport lol since most of the fans are highschool kids and college going burger flippers.

Sentinels have cracked this and we need more teams like Sen who can bring in people like Shroud for the clout/viewership.

who cares if they lose.

look at his past tweets - SEN this, TENZ that. I guess everyone just mentions SEN to get the clout

it seems Ange1 cant stop tweeting about Sentinels. I guess every pro player just wants to be Tenz/Shroud with the money and fame at the end of the day.

i know most of u guys are all edgy, anti-mainstream, iconoclasts who think they're special/interesting because they support an unknown team, BUT now that SEN is out :

you guys wont have half the viewership for the rest of the LCQs and even champs

you might say u dont care but ur favorite teams and players all wanna be rich and famous like SEN.

no-one brings in the money, excitement to the games like SEN, now enjoy rest of ur boring-who-cares-who-wins matches.

undisputed best team would be Guard who ran over C9. Faze looked vulnerable against EG, winning only 2-1 (a team which got annihilated by NRG). SEN looked good against Guard and almost won aswell. SEN will walk over 100t lol

not how it works. only donations and subs are direct payments. sponsors pay them by the amount of viewers so u do pay them even with the adblock

i like how u have ur needs confused with ur wants GIGACHAD

posted about 2 years ago

theres always ads you cannot block - like posters on wall, images on the stream, ads on the stream title - "LENTINELS STREAM BY RUBHUB"

also u guys notice they NEVER mention or let u see any brand that doesn't sponsor them. its ALLLLL about the $$$$

Whats ur reason to watch some nerd play video games and pay them money through watching ads/subscribing when you can play the game for free? Especially when none of the give a fcuk about u.

Tarik for example makes $65k a month according to this

and his take on most of yall is this

did you get ur welcome to VLR email yet? does it still say unverified account?

those kid streamers are so cringe - like some of them use voice changers to sound like 9 year old boys? not the one to pick on the disabled but their viewers must be special.

the loss hurt you that bad huh?

ur braindead. FNS is IGL of Reykjavik winner and #3 Copenhagen. you are who?

trent is average. neither SEN nor Guard is "back". Rude awakening awaits both of them as they play C9, Faze and NRG.

who cares at this point

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah considering Guard recently lost against Mickey mouse teams, if any SEN fans think the team has improved because of the close scores - they are about to get a rude awakening once they play Cloud9 and other teams.

I invite you to join our silver ranked lobbies in NA. We have our own unique strats and play styles for example - no comms - everyone just does what they like, you wanna lurk as a Killjoy? knock yourself out. Im sure you will enjoy your time and learn something for your next international event to catch everyone off guard.

Even the russians in USA dont play Valorant. NA servers of CSGO are filled with Russians who say they will lose their masculanity if they play a cartoon based shooter game.

I think the problem with India is that Valorant requires some setup - a okayish PC/Laptop, mouse, mouse pad, good internet connection etc. The masses in India of the age group (14-26) dont really have the access to this when compared to a smartphone with internet (almost everyone has a smartphone and JIO) which is why BGMI/PUBg popularity cannot be matched with Valorant nor will a ban on BGMI/Pubg get translated to Valorant.

Basically Optic owns in NA and the top teams are not innovative enough to challenge Optic atm. This means Optic does not get much value out of scrims/practice with NA teams. To add to that teams like Faze are literally copying Optic strats by just calling them the new meta.

Copium because it almost seems like an excuse as to why Optic performed sub par against non-NA teams in the Masters - lost to Guild, PRX and FPX - who all have different playstyles and their own strats which Optic doesnt get exposed to because of the point mentioned above.

your bookmarks say you are the one addicted to Valorant

yay just mentioned in his Twitch stream that he has noticed how a few top NA teams are just copying Optic's strats like his Chamber positions and most teams are not being creative enough. Personally I've noticed how Neon has become the meta in some maps and also Breach on Fracture - also remember Tenz saying "you're almost trolling/throwing if you dont play Breach on Fracture"

Do you guys think this is just NA teams not being able to come up with strats or COPIUM from yay cause they lost against non-NA teams - Guild, PRX, FPX ?

tarik

fnatic the way they played against PRX. They would just ff against Optic.
