Don't worry, manifesting a 2022 Reykjavík Zeta Division type of lower bracket run then they win Grand Finals. I want to see a RIddle Order classic badly, if not then a Sin Prisa classic would be clean too ngl.
Damn, I was starting to like hiroronn when Laz switched to initiator. o7 to the both of them.
He only got another chance at Tier 1 because FNS wanted to come back
What are you saying? s0m was one of the best players in NA/Americas for the entirety of 2023. To say he wouldn't get another chance in Tier 1 after having a great performance last year is pure disrespect.
I'm sure these players will find a new team for next season. o7 and gl to them
I only remember when 2023 EG got 13-0'd by LOUD. When was the other time?
For Ludwig and MoistCritical, it would be great for them. But I think they would have to make roster changes if they want to compete against other teams in the league. The players are good, but I think they would have to pick up 2 different players.
It's sad for the fans of those teams, but it was bound to happen. For both teams to pretty much have done nothing since the start of franchising, it's probably for the best they give their franchising spot to different teams.
That and not picking Abyss against SEN even though Abyss is DRX's best map. Termi has interesting ideas that turn into an overcook but I'm praying for improvement next season.
Yeah, I think from our perspective as viewers he looked better than expected but I think from his perspective, he still isn't fully comfortable yet if that makes sense. When he was talking about taking up Stax's role, I think he said he felt overwhelmed (something like that) and how as an IGL, you can't focus on your own game (which makes sense).
Totally agree. I think in the next regular season, everyone in DRX will look better than before. Hopefully, MaKo gets more comfortable as IGL and Termi cook some new strats and execs.
Not horrible but definitely not good. It mostly just sounds like they do not want to be there. But you could just put it in the background and go on your phone.
s0m (cove) - One of the best NA players and made me a big NRG fan during 2023. Also, his streams are the best. W stripper
Facts, like I like BuZz but he does overheat a little too much when they have man advantage. But that aside, I can't think of any other issues they have off the top of my head.
Idk why NRG is forcing them to do content when they would prefer to do anything other than these podcasts. Like it's the off-season, just let your players chill/stream until next season.
Is Mitch highly rumored to go to C9? Also, how good is Lear? I don't remember too much but didn't he have an ok performance during challengers this year?
How likely would Flyuh go to C9? If so, who would MXS pick up to fill his role as IGL?
This current iteration of DRX has a pretty good chance to win a trophy (masters or champs) IMO. For a team that has 2 rookie players, they played very well at Champs. Next season they'll be better and hopefully win a trophy for Pacific.
I lowkey agree with PAC. I feel like DRX, GENG, and PRX will always be at the top in their region while the other teams fall behind and try to catch up. Hopefully next season we'll see at least 2 or 3 teams step up their game.
Lowkey same, it doesn't make sense for an org to force their players to do content when they clearly don't want to.
It's a pretty interesting and promising roster. If NRG drops Crashies, Sinatraa could get picked up, but I doubt their next coach would get him (for whatever reason they have). Even if they do pick him up, there is a high likelihood that people won't be supporting NRG, both org and roster.
Of this list, C9 makes the most sense to me with yay replacing moose. You could argue NRG, but I feel it would be a waste to drop Demon1.
NAH EDG IS HUNGRY FOR THAT TROPHY. RESPECT.
Looking back at that roster, I feel like if they had the same players (maybe switch hazed for someone else) that roster could've been pretty good.
2024 NRG during Kickoff and Split 1. Expected to be insane but failed due to overlapping roles and lack of an actual IGL.
At least EDG was able to make a Grand Final this year, unlike a certain team.
Exactly, if EDG loses 1 round, "Oh it's over, EDG is horrible" and "Fluke run". These people can't wait till the series is over. Riot should've added Minecraft Parkour videos on the side to help their small brains.
The same thing could be said about SEN. SEN won Madrid, didn't make Shanghai, and placed Top 4 at Champs. Based on your logic, then surely SEN's win at Madrid was a fluke no?
To make a whole new account just to hate a 1 singular team and a specific player has to be beyond sad and cringe.
People just hate to see different teams in the Grand Finals. There's a reason why their favorite teams aren't there.
In the future, he'll probably be up there. Top tier player in 2 completely different games. Benjy is too insane.
So people aren't allowed to get excited? This crowd is rooting for both teams and wants a good series. Compared to Lock//In, every person in that crowd was biased towards LOUD but was booing every other team.
Obviously, they're going to be nervous. This is the furthest EDG has gone let alone the furthest a CN has gotten.
It is the first map in a bo5, ain't no way you're saying the entire series is over within the first half.
Fr, and they invite artists from the region where every Champs is held. Like, they had ericdoa and bbno$ for last year's song. But as soon as they invite Korean artists, people complain because it's K-pop.
Actually cringe af.
Ah yes, complaining about having Korean artists when the event is BASED IN KOREA. Riot isn't going to cater to your needs just because you don't like a certain genre. No one is forcing you to like or listen to the song, so stop complaining about having these artists play just because you think K-pop is trash.
Why can't people accept that any team can prove they can be the best? EDG deserves their spot in the Grand Finals 100%, they've beaten top teams this entire tournament.
In the early iteration of EG in 2021, they had a mixed roster that included potter but they weren't that good. Also, the "skill gap" between GC and Challengers is pretty clear. As how I mentioned, SR got destroyed by Tier 2 teams and ranked players and even G2 GOZEN got destroyed by Tier 2 EMEA team FOKUS and 13-0'd by the previous TH roster. If 2 of the best GC teams in their league couldn't beat those teams, it shows how far GC is from Tier 2.
GC exists as a safe space for female players. But GC teams have a chance to play in challengers like every other team, they have to play through the open qualifiers and try to qualify for Stage 1. For example, Shopify/V1 played in open qualifiers this year and last year (I think) and got destroyed by essentially low Tier 2 teams and ranked players, which shows the gap between the GC and Challengers.
As for if they have a chance to play in Tier 1, it's possible, but the problem there is that 99.9% of Tier 1 (likely even Tier 2) won't pick them up. It's not a gender thing, it's mainly because there are better players (skill-wise) to pick up than a GC player (no offense).
Facts, both seasons were good but the manga was amazing.
In no particular order,
Fairy Tail
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic
Reincarnated as a Slime
Fire Force
One Piece
HM: Naruto, HxH
I haven't watched the anime, but I heavily recommend reading the manhwa. Very good read IMO.
Not hating, but is Shaz that good anymore? (as both IGL and a player). Also, are there other IGLs that could potentially be a better pickup for C9?
The same was true for Demon1 during Kickoff and Split 1. It's crazy how if a top-tier player starts to underperform, people automatically call them washed. It's very narrow-minded.
I think GENG should be higher, and BLG should be at the bottom below FUT just because how they played against FNC in groups was kinda atrocious to watch. But the rest of the teams I can agree with.
LEV vs TH
I wouldn't mind either team winning tbh, pretty likable players on both teams, and tex/benjyfishy lifting a trophy would be cool to see.
I wouldn't say it's terrible, but I think Buzz is better off on Raze than Neon. His Raze is way better than Neon
He's actually insane and has probably had the most impact in the entire tournament.
