am i forgetting VS 2-0ed acend and was the only team to take a map off gambit? and NU 3rd in iceland...
hes 24 so by the time he gets back he will be 26?? basically he will be as good anymore
I just want news to come out asap so Korean players don't go to Japan for salary like Suggest
I mean someone can always learn controller right? mako wasnt a controller main until he go in VS unless im mistaken
skrossis trash op literally lost them lcq vs F4Q lmao.
Lakia 1v2 because that round saved the series and was a huge wtf moment
they are good fps they just dont like these kinds of games. take OW for example they have the best raw dps there. they simply traditionally dont like slow paced games
korea is still the best performing region outside of na eu. every other region except LATAM peaked in quarters (with the exception of brazil not even making quarters yet).
they were def top 3 in masters 3 cuz they vsed gambit first round and were the only team to take a map in playoffs. mind u nats said themselves VS were the strongest threat for them coming into the tournament even after scrims bootcamp.
their berlin (only team to get a map off gambit in playoffs)and lcq (all korean teams remained when there was only 1 team for every other region) was fine but yeah if riot decides of champions results probably 1 unless they merge kr and jp
Ah it was not my intention to talk down on their success
When I talk about replicating performance I mean teams would VOD review and antistrat X10s and SEA teams aggressive strats which caught them off guard in champions
Am I the only one that thinks everyone is getting recency bias? Only X10 had a good run at champions (TS easiest group) and even then I think it was largely due to NV underestimating not preparing for X10 playstyle. I think they are a playoff-lock for the next tourney but I don't think they can replicate beating a title contender again. Ofc I could be extremely wrong and X10 improves further.
they've still had the best results out of a non-emea or na team
they didnt even play bad tho. fnc and c9 games were neck and neck
korea (not just VS) become contenders with the rumours that some overwatch pros are converting and the many teams that are coming into the korean scene
don't get recency bias. no doubt sea played great this tourney but that may be largely due to other teams underestimating them. time will tell i guess
they were the only team to take a map off gambit in masters and the final map was close as well. this time around it was kind of questionable, but honestly prob from lack of preparation for their group and probably focused on teams like gmb. they always started off slow and caught off guard then adjusted accordingly
