well champions and masters now have a different number of teams and i assume different formats. honestly id rather champions be a carbon copy of masters with bigger prize pool if we could fix this dogshit slot distribution
NA has insane viewership yet only 2 slots at masters so dunno about that
not everyone in EMEA or APAC (SEA+SA+OCE) speak the same language either
no, but the best region should have more slots than fucking south america
riot should just do playins, then you can have 69 japanese teams for your precious viewership and marketing and also have a decent number of actual top teams there
NA is the second best region. frankly none of the regions are shit except japan but NA&EMEA >>> brazil
sentinels weren't playing notably worse than C9 at champions even, C9 would have lost to KRU as well most likely

definitely not direct to OCE since they go through APAC. i really doubt theyre giving APAC an extra slot just because it includes OCE now, since only one OCE team qualifies to APAC in the first place. even then i wouldnt want NA to lose a slot for that, NA is almost certainly way better than OCE
i dont mind BR keeping 2 slots, but if NA loses a slot just for an underwhelming Champions then BR absolutely should lose one as well

it was the 7-0 start that lost them the rematch, not the different camera...
a normal, shootable camera also gives you that same info
you raise some good points but i still disagree. TS hasnt really proven anything, they just got through an easy group. regarding X10 being beaten by other teams, their only domestic losses since Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs was in a third party tournament where they were running complete troll comps and clearly not taking it seriously.
a camera exploit doesnt win you that many rounds, plain and simple. acend only went A like 3 times anyway. even acend said that they played worse that day
they underwhelmed compared to expectations but they absolutely didnt get shat on. the only region that got shat on at champs is JP and arguably brazil
good question. minor regions like SEA go through two masters events doing jack shit and keep their slots for champs, and Brazil goes through the entire year doing nothing and still gets 2 slots, NA has ONE underwhelming tournament and they lose a slot? absolute joke

Even at Champions they did not get shat on, Sentinels were 2 rounds away from getting out of their mega-stacked group in 1st place, C9 made it to quarters playing close series against Liquid and Fnatic and Envy, the one team that did underperform, barely lost to X10...
they were the better team on the day which is all that really matters when we're talking about relative team strength. regardless, brazil aint that good just because VK beat/almost-beat/barely-lost-to/beat-with-exploits a weak Acend.
ik we're talking about the whole region, but the whole region of SEA is also pretty weak. X10 is the only team that has proven anything internationally, Secret just got through a weak group. and x10 just lost patiphan. Paper Rex and Full Sense bombed out of their events.
Australs got signed by another org I think. I agree that LATAM isnt a deep region outside KRU, but frankly neither is SEA outside X10 (and they lost Patiphan so who knows if theyre still gonna be as good). Secret is good but hasn't actually proved anything, they only made it to playoffs bc they had a weak group.

LATAM has to be > SEA and BR right? BR has never accomplished anything at all on the international stage while LATAM has a top 4 team, and KRU outperformed all SEA teams at both Berlin and Champions
it was a bug that they exploited, still a bug. frankly VK wouldve won even without the camera but they did use it so thats on them. again, it doesnt change my point.

and yes, it was months, so Acend's form was different. just like Acend's form was different across Champions. form is variable.
100T and Vision Strikers beat Acend, does that then make NA and KR even better than BR then? Form is variable, the Acend that lost to VK was not as good as the Acend that played the rest of the tournament. VK are good and Brazil arent as bad as their placements suggest, but theyre absoluitely not the second best region. EMEA>NA>LATAM>SEA>KR>BR>>>JP

And third of all, he is not 'still playing in the league' because as I said, the league has not STARTED. You can't play in something that hasn't started yet.
