yeah this superteam would have won everything with any capable igl but I have to give credit where its due, Boaster/mini improved and fixed the structural issues their style had so props to them

posted about a year ago

Maybe but thats the thing, if he is getting punished early in the match then he usually just keeps forcing it, also its harder to heat up if he just loses awareness and his decision making suffers. Maybe he gets too distracted hyping up but I think its probably just a composure issue, some of the things I see Derke doing in these type of matches make no sense, its just stupid mistakes that he would never do under normal conditions

posted about a year ago

Really? I just remember everyone being hyped af

Am I the only that has noticed how badly he plays in high pressure matches? Its like watching a different player, its like his awareness and decision making disappear all of a sudden, it has been like this all of his career, I wonder if this is something they are trying to work on with Derke since its clearly just a composure issue and not that he lacks those skills

posted about a year ago

Always shows up in the high pressure matches unlike Derke, I am concerned by how worse he is under pressure... Its like a videogame and someone used an ability to reduce his decision making, awareness and firepower stats

I dont like commenting on coaches since its impossible to tell how much they do from the outside, my only criticsm for him atm is that he lacks the personality but that isnt as big of an issue. I wasnt a fan of him and Boaster last year because of the issues with Fnatic playstyle at a structural level but they have improved at it (mainly Boaster) and Mini knew this was a problem last year so I appreciate that he recognized the problem and fixed it

I hope but looks difficult, I was very dissapointed by what I saw from FUT/NaVi/Liquid, the level they showed was really low and this has kinda been a thing for a while with EMEA teams. I feel like we got good players but the level of teams is bad, some of the reasons imo are:

  • T2 is in shambles, the regional leagues lowered the level of the t2 way too much, its hard for teams to improve when they have to scrim some really really bad teams.
  • Bad coaches and IGLs and overall just bad ways of working and ideas

sure but still worrying how shit the other teams are

https://twitter.com/ValorINTEL/status/1670889853897043976 this region downfall is incredible, she isnt wrong too

posted about a year ago

Only hero plays, we play the worst valorant atm, this region is so finished besides Fnatic. Let the fact that we were only able to beat chinese teams sink in

posted about a year ago

Its not like they will be used, at least not at any decent level, if you are good at the game you will play in central european servers since thats where everyone plays. Also it will be the same as with all these local servers, natives will start avoiding them because they think those from their country are idiots or bad

I think Twisten was better than Cned and had more potential, as you said these are all top players in the region and even in the world but there is tiers to this shit. A comparison would be: While Fnatic has Messi, NaVi has Robben. All top players but Fnatic ones are better, also:

  • Fnatic has smarter players that can think for themselves.
  • NaVi apart from Ange1 and Shao the other 3 are insane individually but they arent the smartest players
  • NaVi roles dont even make sense, Cned can only play 1 agent properly and Zyppan isnt that comfortable outside of Raze/Kayo.

So what I would do is:
1- Replace Cned and Zyppan and get a duelist that can play both Jett/Raze and a top flex player. Before there was Twisten but now he passed away so this option becomes harder since there arent many european duelists that can play both jett/raze at the level NaVi needs
2- Replace Cned and get a good jett player but who can also flex and Zyppan goes back to Raze/Kayo/Flex roles.

Also I hope they stop experimenting so much with roles and comps, they do some really weird shit

Fnatic have better and smarter players, NAVI has insane players but Fnatic are at least a tier above and tbh Cned doesnt make much sense to me, I wanted NAVI to get Twisten before this season but :(

posted about a year ago

Individually he is terrible no doubt but for an IGL standard he is good enough, he also plays the least impactful roles so he is fine

posted about a year ago

I have always been his biggest critic and hated the style Fnatic played in the past since I think they were gimmicks merchants like DRX and they were easy to beat after 1-2 matches once they showed all their strats since they had little adaptation and they werent able to play off of fundamentals and they just knew how to play according to their pregame plan, in the Fnatic vlog in the off season they talked about how they were trying to improve this, massive respect for Boaster for improving on this, I have critized him like no1 else in this forum but respect to him for improving on his weaknesses and working hard unlike all these other paycheck stealers we have in europe pretending to be coaches or igls

we are shit but at least we have Fnatic lolllllllllll

looks hard tbh, the ideas are just so so bad, I liked their haven against EDG but other than that it has been terrible and they just rely on hero plays, gonna be hard against Fnatic or EG, they can make a run in lowers but unless they change things its going to be hard for them to challenge those two

https://www.vlr.gg/227657/congrats-to-liquid-management nvm, u guys are ass, only hero plays

posted about a year ago

LOL as I said, literally only solo plays as a solution, wtf is that setup

posted about a year ago

It feels like that sometimes with fnatic but not nearly as much as other teams, fnatic have good ideas for the most part. I havent watched valorant enough to judge since Lock In but Fnatic in Lock In were just defaulting without really doing anything and then they had really good executes and ofc insane firepower

posted about a year ago

I think their weak point is probably that even if these ideas are very creative I want to see how they dont work anymore, also how will all of this work against Fnatic?

posted about a year ago

Am I the only one who thinks we rely too much on individual plays and we have 0 creativity or innovation? Also the teams have very weird ideas from comps to the way teams play at a macro level, watching EU teams feels like "play slow for no reason, get 0 map control and then have the most readable and shitty execute ever, and even then most of the times the slow defaults are shit and players just get picked apart one by one"

posted about a year ago

Good firepower from all 5 players, good fundamentals, very innovative, creative and they just play good together, it might seem stupid but they are just good, thats all.

tbh liquid cant be judged on this, they were doomed to fail with this wacky comp and gameplan

posted about a year ago

also soulcas on viper is so useless man, this guy cant anchor a side

posted about a year ago

He has always been a mentally weak and unconfident player, he isnt even that good individually either, overrated player

posted about a year ago

I changed my opinion, they will probably play it safe and ban it but I think they can beat them on it so it would be funny to see them be cocky and try to beat them on it just to show their dominance

posted about a year ago

not only that but skye, it feels like a comp to go for solo plays and EG are punishing them

posted about a year ago

No, they are insane on fracture

posted about a year ago

what a terrible comp and gameplan, they are getting schooled lol

12-1 first bloods on lotus, what a beast

posted about a year ago

Always thought the pickups made all a lot of sense from a personality, style of players POV and I am glad they went for 3 of the smartest players in valorant who can think for themselves instead of just firepower. One of the few teams who seem to be able to play the classic european cs style without looking like dogs, really well played by them even if there were some shaky moments as its normal for the first map of the tournament

posted about a year ago

classic EMEA performance coming up, terrible performance as a region but Liquid/Fnatic going on a run and winning the whole thing

I saw a good amount of idiots saying he is shit

not only that but he is actually a good teammate and a selfless player and a really good aimer too, I think this "his utility is so good" is used as an excuse for bad players way too much but for Ethan its actually true

posted about a year ago

the direspected on this guy from idiots in this forum is insane, those of you that know me you will know I think most support players not putting up stats are frauds and they are just bad, Ethan is one of the only players in valorant that could perform like Boaster and I wouldnt care, those that know how he is as a player will understand why, one of the few players in pro valorant with more than 2 working braincells ngl

posted about a year ago

As someone that comes from CS this giving relevance to scrim results makes no sense to me, do these subhumans understand you play to improve and learn rather than win in scrims?

Because League in Korea and China is like football for europeans, this cultural difference argument is just bullshit, they play the game more so they are better at it. At least for Europe League isnt even that popular outside of western europe, all of eastern europe plays Dota so that makes it even harder to compete with them, if CSGO and Dota werent as popular I think Europe could compete with China/Korea in League but thats not gonna happen, same goes for China, Korea or any other "big" country, if they played CSGO more they could compete with Europe. Korea isnt even that big of a country and not enough babies are being born so long term probably China will dominate League alone, Korea as a region doesnt have that much potential but unlike others they are fulfilling all of it, realistically a 51M country has no right to dominate like that if other countries/regions cared as much as them
