I don't get it?

posted 9 months ago

That they do!

posted 9 months ago

They definitely looked quite shaky in Tokyo, but I agree with you that they can definitely bounce back and make internationals this year. I don't know how good qck is (I've never seen him play), but if he does indeed do well then props to LOUD. Thank you for the suggestion! LOUD has always been in my head as a good team, but I haven't really considered supporting them before.

Well, the geo in my name is there because a lot of things I like start with geo (geography, geopolitics, geology, geobotany, etc).

posted 9 months ago

It does get a bit annoying sometimes because it can be a good way for me to get feedback from the community on what I say.

posted 9 months ago

It does deliver what it intends to convey very clearly. I've enjoyed watching T1 improve in the off season and I'll definitely take note of it.

posted 9 months ago

I cannot give an accurate description of how I feel about him.

posted 9 months ago

My appreciation for soulcas and everything he has done for TL will never fade. While T2 teams aren't my thing, I'll keep them in mind.

I've always had a soft spot for anything paleontology related, but to be honest, I am not a big fan of the PRX logo. I understand that it is what it is but I would prefer something 🦖 related.

posted 9 months ago

It doesn't really matter in this case. If I make a bad prediction/take, I'm all down to accept downvotes and feedback/criticism. However, in this case, I'm happy as long as my message got through to the one it was directed towards. :)

Don't sweat it! We all have times where things don't look so bright, but the sun will always rise after it has set.

Personally, I prefer separating sports from politics. Which is why I agree with you for the most part. However, violence is never the option in anything and to represent a country that conducts such a thing may actually be detrimental to growing their reputations. Especially when the org is from the country that the violence is perpetrated against.

I hope that wasn't just a jumble of words. I'm a pretty avid follower of geopolitics and I am always glad to discuss it, but vlr is not the place to do so.

posted 9 months ago

They definitely can, don't get me wrong. I should've clarified that it's merely my personal opinion that they won't win another trophy this year.

posted 9 months ago

Lol

posted 9 months ago

Sometimes that is the case, but it happens to the best of us! Keep your head up anyth1ng!

posted 9 months ago

Very true! I really do wish them success. EMEA has been having a small drought in terms of good teams.

posted 9 months ago

Haha that's a funny one!

posted 9 months ago

Interesting...

posted 9 months ago

But what about them?

posted 9 months ago

But why? I've only heard of them from that one game called Fornite.

posted 9 months ago

I don't think I need to make another point. What I stated was simply factual. They won the tournaments, and looked better than everyone else. Of course, by the time Champions LA rolled around things had changed for the other teams.

Despite all that, I still think you're underplaying Fnatics skill and ability. Also, I disagree with your statement of EMEA being "a region with no talent or structure."

posted 9 months ago

Ah I see. No worries! It happens to the best of us.

posted 9 months ago

Rb is the only one I disagree with here. Jack of all trades (agents), master at none. He's a mechanically sound player but Shao easily beats him in being more of a master of said trades (agents).

posted 9 months ago

Watch as TEC defy all odds and becomes the CN superteam and dethrone EDG or something lol. If I'm going to support a CN team, it's probably not going to be AG, NOVA, DRG, or BLG.

posted 9 months ago

I've really liked how their story has been developing, and Bonkers will always hold a place in my heart because I really love their old logo. I'll give it a think!

posted 9 months ago

Somewhat off topic, but I really like Kebab wraps. I had one yesterday.

posted 9 months ago

Haha thank you, you flatter me. Vitality does look good this season, and I can see them finishing higher than they did last year. I will always like Sayf and I'll always support him indirectly regardless of the team he plays for. I'll definitely consider this one.

posted 9 months ago

I've thought about this many times to be honest. Having TL always falling behind Fnatic hasn't always been a great feeling (aside from that time we beat them in EMEA playoffs lol). I'll think about this one but I don't know if it'll produce different results than my previous thinks about joining FNC.

posted 9 months ago

I don't know much about the new KC roster, but maybe that's part of the fun of supporting a new team! I'll consider it :)

posted 9 months ago

No no, they do have more synergy than Wolves right now. I apologize if I was unclear.

posted 9 months ago

I think Sentinels is looking very good as a team right now, but unless I find a really good reason to support Sentinels the chances of me doing so will not be on the high side.

posted 9 months ago

I have indeed been enjoying watching FUT during Champs and the offseason. I'll give this one a think.

posted 9 months ago

In my opinion, that is a horrible reason to support a team.

posted 9 months ago

That's most certainly something I'm considering. However, I really do think I've been with TL for a bit too long, and that I should probably be looking to find another team to support.

Dear vlr community, I'm geospliced.
I've got no real friends to turn to in my hour of need, so I've decided to turn to you, the vlr community, in search for a solution to my dilemma.
I am considering changing my flair. I have been a loyal Team Liquid fan since the 21' season, and I have continued supporting them since. However, I understand that times have changed, and that it might in fact be time to move on. Please, suggest to me a team and a valid reason to support them. I am open to all teams (preferrably Tier 1) and all regions. Of course, if none are of interest to me, I will remain a TL fan. I will be making a decision by the end of Wednesday.
If you do not want to indulge in this activity, I understand, and I hope you all have a fantastic day.
Thank you for your time,
geospliced

It depends on how you live tbh. If you have a family to raise and live in a large city/country I imagine it'll be much more expensive than if you live alone and don't live too luxurious a life.

Champions Jakarta?
It's about time for a Champions in Pacific anyways.

posted 9 months ago

According to one of my friends: "Smoggy makes me soggy."

posted 9 months ago

Look guys, I can't do much in the sense that I don't live anywhere remotely close to OCE, but it would be my pleasure to provide encouragement or something like it.

posted 9 months ago

To be fair, while FNC are definitely the favorites for probably 90% of the matches they're going to play during the 2024 season, I don't know if they can pull off a trophy win this year.

posted 9 months ago

Well, that's why it's on paper lol! Whether they work out in the future or not is up to them, but from the information we have atm, they're looking to be a banging team lol.

posted 9 months ago

Sure, there were roster changes and whatnot but I don't think that should take away from Fnatics victory. It's not like they had a stroll in the park. I also wouldn't say that Masters Tokyo was a fluke, because while some teams did have subs, ultimately Fnatic did look better than everyone else, and it isn't their fault. They were just better.
Also, I wonder why the team with everyones expectations on their back lost in the biggest event of the year. Surely it can't be due to a myriad of factors that don't contain "fraud team" right?

posted 9 months ago

No, you're very correct! The other four have indeed been playing together for a month or two.

posted 9 months ago

Nice!

posted 9 months ago

Did you skip it? My PE classes (I don't take any this year) are taught by a cool guy with a PhD so it's always fun lol.

posted 9 months ago

AG is definitely not bad on paper. In fact, I'd say that aside from NOVA (we don't know roster), all the teams look decent on paper. shameless hasn't really stood out to me, but maybe that's just me lacking while watching the VODs.
We'll see how it unfolds in late Feb. I guess (SO FAR AWAY AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH).
Have a good one Obsidian Echo!

posted 9 months ago

I think you're overlooking Wolves a bit but it's alright.

posted 9 months ago

I completely agree with you that Abo is a pretty good player. I mean, he's an experienced Valorant player and has been in the scene for quite the long time. I just don't know if they'll be able to contend for mid-table when the other teams like Wolves get their chemistry figured out.

posted 9 months ago

To me, this isn't a long reply at all. In fact, I'd go on to give you credit for being clear and concise with your message.
I think you are indeed correct in the sense that TEC did indeed beat a mid BLG, and does indeed look to have good synergy between the players, which is great.
To be fair, I didn't account for synergy at all when making my rankings, and if I did I probably would place TEC above WOL and below TYL. TYLOOs core has been together for quite a while, and with hfmi on the team they're most certainly going to be a force to reckon with (unless they throw all their matches).
Cheers!
