First two maps were close. I'm pretty satisfied with my original prediction, despite the fact that it turned out to be wrong. Can't wait to see what TES can achieve in this Act. 2!

Yeah that was what I was thinking at first but then I looked a bit into INV and changed my mind.

While ASE should be winning this game 2-0, I believe that there is a very good chance that NWG takes a map off ASE. Life, hfmi, and YHchen have looked imperious as of recently, and I doubt even someone on the caliber of XII can stop them. Anyways, 2-0 victory for ASE.

posted about a year ago

I'm not confident that I can predict this correctly, but looking back on the previous games, I think this will be a very close 2-1 victory for 4AM.

ASE should be winning this 2-0. They were on good form in the 1st Act, and I think it's going to continue here. ANDY was good for Funcrew tho, so who knows. Anyways, ASE win 2-0 is my prediction.

Although TYLOO was looking shaky and unprepared last Act of the event, I hope that they've learnt where their mistakes are and have moved on from them. JDG on the other hand, has a chance of beating TYLOO, but I think it's more likely for it to be a 2-0 TYLOO victory.

They're just better. I think the previous loss against WBG in Act.1 was unwarranted and undeserved.

Bilibili should win this one. Their last match was a 13-9, which makes me want to believe that they still aren't fully awake. Regardless, hopefully with Yosemite back in the team they will be able to make magic happen against DRG (who I do acknowledge is a good team.) 2-0 BLG but I think the maps might be close.

NIP annihilated 17Gaming in their previous match, and their ability to snowball momentum is in my opinion, very good. Perhaps they will get the win over All Gamers. 2-0 NIP win.

This is a slightly more balanced series. ME and TES are both somewhat well-known teams in the Chinese scene, but due to ME's reputation of having competed in previous Chinese tournaments such as the Champion LCQ, I think ME is going to win this one 2-1.

NWG has great players, and while Tianba also has players of a high caliber, they just aren't on the level of someone such as XII or cxyy. I think NWG is going to win this one 2-0 but we'll see what happens.

RNG ought to win this one 2-0. I know it's a rematch, and that KBG got beat by RNG not long ago. Regardless, I still think that RNG will win this one purely due to the skill level of players such as SWERL and Xiaonuo. 2-0 RNG win.

Now's my turn to say it. Bo1 buddy :D

I'm sorry I didn't get the reference, you are absolutely correct. 2-1 city.

I believe that while both sides have some good players, Team Queso wil get this win 1-0.

posted about a year ago

Please don't, they might lose. ODG has great players and that's not to be underestimated

posted about a year ago

To be honest, I highly underestimated RA. I guess I just couldn't bring myself to believe that they would continue to consistently stomp well-established teams (who were not in bad form by any means.) Cheers though, I always like interacting with other commenters, but tbh when I made my original reply to your comment, I was in quite the foul mood. xD

I'm pretty sure NIP is going to win this one. 17Gaming just doesn't seem like a team that can win against a team like NIP. 1-0 NIP.

posted about a year ago

I believe that DRG just has what it takes to win this. Wolverhampton Wand-I mean, Wolves Esports just hasn't been around the Chinese scene for long enough for me to consider them as possible winners. Additionally, steady is a top coach with lots of experience, particularly with Geekay Esports, which is a highly-ranked MENA team. I think that DRG will win this series 1-0.

posted about a year ago

Invictus Gaming should win this one. ODG is a newly put-together team, and I just can't see them coming out on top of this series. 1-0 IG victory.

posted about a year ago

I don't know much about INV as a team, but I do know that CCG is a relatively new team that has been put together recently. I'm not confident that I can predict how well CCG will play, so I'm going to go with a 1-0 INV win.

posted about a year ago

I believe that I have reason to believe that ME should be winning this one. ME has played much more than Douyu Gaming, and I believe that the experience the coaching staff has gained will help their new roster play well against DYG. 1-0 ME victory.

posted about a year ago

TES should be winning this without a hitch. They have good players and I believe that their exit from Act. 1 against RA was unlucky and that they would've made it further in the tournament had they not been matched up against RA. 1-0 TES, like melon_fan said, Sylvan masterclass.

DD Team is a rather new and unexperienced team in comparison to 4AM. Of course, I think there is a possibility that DDT wins this series but I don't know how they can cope with a more structured 4AM. However, I acknowledge that 4AM has made big changes to their roster, including Banger and UdoTan. Of course, DDT has also revamped their roster on a large scale. Nonetheless, I think 4AM should be winning this 1-0.

posted about a year ago

Well, I think these two teams are actually pretty equal in terms of ability (if you look at the matches). GREEN TEAM has some reputable players, so I think they should be winning this 3-1.

Spero che DSYRE possa vincere l'ascension, ma lo so che sarà molto difficile.

posted about a year ago

With both teams having made massive changes to their rosters since the last games they've played, I think this series will be a spectacle to watch as their new members look to impress. I'm especially interested to see how OLIZERA and Eso177 (if he's playing) fares. I think this is a series that could go either way, but for the sake of it I will predict a 1-0 UCAM victory.

posted about a year ago

Although I haven't done too much research on these two teams, I am going to predict a RED TEAM 2-1 victory.

Yes, I am aware of my mistake. I already fixed it in the comment above yours. Thank you!

Badua Lipa is a team made up of players from other teams? I'm not sure how they'll gel together as well as a team like AA. Also, Aster Army played pretty well against Medal Esports so I think they should take this one home with a 2-0 victory.

You are completely right on this one. I didn't do enough homework on Movistar Riders, and totally overlooked the fact that it is a bo1. Thus I will repredict a 1-0 victory for DSYNE. Thank you for your correction.

posted about a year ago

Forza DSYRE!

This looks like an interesting match. Although DSYRE has accumulated a two game loss streak, it's been a while and I believe that they can win this game without too much of an issue. Yes, Movistar Riders are on better form technically speaking, but I think that I've seen enough glimpses of excellence from DSYRE in their past matches (they've def improved) to predict a 2-0 DSYRE victory let's go DSYRE!

I would like to amend my original prediction of a 3-0 EDG victory to a 3-1 EDG victory. EDG is very strong on Sunset and I think things won't go the right way for RA; something similar to Breeze might happen where they just cannot cope with EDG's tactics. Of course, I acknowledge the fact that they trounced FPX but I feel like EDG is still the stronger team on this map.

posted about a year ago

You're very welcome, but I do hope that you understand that I don't deliberately predict the wrong scores, I'm simply new and rather green when it comes to this activity. I hope that one day my skills will become good enough that you need not to thank me for the wrong predictions but the right ones. Thank you for your patronage.

Lock in RA buddy. Y'all are milking money from my struggles as a predictor and I'm McLovin' it.

oops

posted about a year ago

I had a lot on my plate yesterday, but I made my prediction below! It's a 3-0 EDG victory prediction, which I understand is lame and boring but that's just what I think. I didn't think there would be someone waiting for my analysis, I really appreciate it. Thank you!

I have some words I'd like to share with the VLR community. Thank you. I've enjoyed commenting over the course of this tournament immensely, and I've recieved a range of reactions ranging from appreciation to mockery. Statistically speaking, from the 18 predictions I made this tournament, I only got 41.67% of them correct. That means that I am a pretty unreliable predictor, and I acknowledge that. Regardless, I'd like to thank everyone for just being here in general and providing me an audience to continue doing this. I will strive to improve, and I'll set a goal to correctly predict one of the international LAN events. Once again, y'all are great, thank you so much. Toodles!

It wasn't very nice, I got it wrong. It was going very well up until the third map, where viva turned up the heat for RA, absolutely dominating with his OP. FPX just couldn't get by it, and RA's momentum passed over to the 4th map, which although they lost, wasn't by a large margin. In my original prediction, I overlooked players like viva which resulted in my false prediction. I really thought FPX would win this one and ultimately, they didn't. However, I really appreciate your comment for trying to console me. Thanks!

Yeah he's an amazing player, and I really enjoyed watching him. Russians are just so good at this game.

posted about a year ago

I'm late to this, but here's how I think it will turn out. Logically speaking, EDG should win this one. RA has shown their strengths and power, and I think they're a solid team. However, I just don't think they have what it takes to win against EDG, who has swathes of international experience and a reputation of excellence. Sure, the matches might be close, we might even see OT on a map, but I highly doubt it will be RA's day at all. 3-0 EDG, Chichoo is going to perform.

Honestly, I should be thanking you! I'm so happy my predictions can be of help to you. I will continue making predictions for the forseeable future, and I hope you can continue to make money. Cheers!

Tough match for Z10. While Acend hasn't been very present during the LANs this year, they're still a top region team that could challenge for the EMEA title. I'm expecting an Acend 2-0, but who knows? Maybe Z10 could bring back a map and make it a 2-1. Anyways, I believe that a 2-0 here is what we're expecting, and very likely what we'll get.

Good game! Minny and Cantzer showed up for their team and I love to see it. Nice try incognito, but I hate to say it, on Bind they underperformed hard and I hope they do some practice on it for the future.

posted about a year ago

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm wrong again... GN just didn't perform as well as they could've, and I think that's fine because we all have our off days. However, DE exceeded my expectations. With their previously slippery-looking form, I just didn't expect them to win this one. Well played DE!

I've got some difficult exams coming up soon but I'll continue to dedicate a part of my free time to do some analyses on a variety of teams. Thank you!

posted about a year ago

Yeah I agree, although technically speaking rematches are easier to win for the first loser, but I just can't see RA winning this one.

posted about a year ago

Both FPX and RA communicate in English to their imports.

posted about a year ago

Two teams with a history of competition! I love it. If we just look at head-to-head, it will almost be impossible to determine and predict a winner, but judging from recent form, I think GN has a good chance to bag the victory this time. Good luck Diamant Esports, you're a good team with players like Grmekista, Felix, and Pa1ze, but I think GN is winning this series 2-1. Incoming Chadi masterclass.

posted about a year ago

Looking at the big picture, I think that there is a low chance that incognito gets one over EE this time. EE has some good players like Minny and MaFiN, and I think they will play a big part in this match. Additionally, Tenebra is an experienced coach who has coached several teams including one of the best MENA teams. I just think it's going to be very hard for incognito to win this match! 2-0 victory for Enterprise Esports.
