Should've taken the risk

Right, but can you blame him? Things were going very wrong for the team. All that time spent improving in the game to show the world what you're made of and that you really are a top team only for those strats and whatnot to all come crashing down must've taken a toll on him, even midgame.

I'm not Boaster, but having IGL'd (being main caller) during my Valorant matches, I understand the frustration when things don't work out and you play such a big role in making sure that doesn't happen. Sorry if I'm not being very clear that sentence is quite clonky.

I think it's absolutely alright to cry on stage, regardless of how old you are. Boaster's experienced so much glory and hard-fought victories for both himself and the fans that I can easily imagine the urge to be emotional if you fail not just your own expectations but potentially everyone else's around you.

Also, what are you talking about? Famous people and athletes post on Tik Tok all the time. As for twerking, it's just a dance, if he wants to boogie it out let him do it I don't understand what's the issue with it.

Fnatic did look a bit off today, but tbh that happens to the best of us and their priority right now should be fixing what wasn't working so they can impress again in their next opportunity.

posted about a year ago

I don't think that's very nice to say about Boaster. I think characters like him do well to entertain the community. Also, there's no issue to get emotional about something you care for and are deeply passionate about; especially when it's on the big stage.

'd be funny if Edward grabbed all the international tourneys this year wouldn't it?

Yeah if you're a real fan you'd stick with them through their highs and especially their lows. To see a team return to glory after initial disappointment will never fail to entertain me.

I mean, I like to think about it as him caring a lot about the game.

Pretty sure he's too young rn but his birthday will come by the time Madrid rolls around.

Perhaps I'm not knowledgable enough about Tuyz but I really like him as a player and a person in general. Also, there are so many players that taunt the opponents and whatnot that I don't even consider it a factor when determining whether or not someone is likable (unless it goes too far). Fair points though!

edit: (unless it goes too far) -> Also, there are so... (unless it goes too far). Fair points though!

Yeah I get what you mean. I think an EMEA team or a CN team will win Shanghai

I've never really had waffles so I think pancakes are better (I eat them around around 0.6 times per year on average).

I'm not going to say that he's the biggest impact vlr user but I think Obelisk deserves to be up there. Quite the nice lad from my games with him.

Imagine if NA team wins Shanghai 💀

FNC vs LOUD to me is like a Liverpool vs Real Madrid game in the Champions League lol.

Sorry for the untimely answer, I've been rather swarmed with tasks these days. I think that it would most certainly be interesting to see TE upset EDG because they definitely stand a chance. It'll also make for good exposure to lesser-known yet just-as capable Chinese teams such as Trace Esports. However, I don't think it'll be ideal for the Madrid tournament. While I believe that EDG can stand a good chance against one of the other international teams regardless of their form (experience speaks tons and they aren't even that bad right now), I disagree if TE is in the picture. Sure, they're good, but they've probably never experienced a thrashing from an EMEA or a NA team.

For Madrid, I think it'll be better for the experienced EDG/FPX to make an attempt at getting top 4 instead of having a team with absolutely zero international experience despite being good try to take a map off Fnatic or some other great team and lose. The better Chinese teams do this tournament, the more attention it'll bring to the scene for the rest of the year.

But like Brian said, FengF would be very cool to watch on the international stage.

I hold Cristiano Ronaldo to very high regards but Ronaldo Nazario will always be my favorite Ronaldo. After all, I'm all in for Inter Milan and he was great for us. It's a shame he got niggling injuries throughout his career 😢

I apologize for being unclear, but the conversations and discussions I engaged in on this site were indeed in forums. There are quite a few forums here and there that allows VCT fans to connect together, forming what I see as a nice community of sorts. It's just that there are more esport related forums nowadays thus bringing with them horrible takes and whatnot.

I agree that bringing back rape allegations and other irrelevant topics aren't very beneficial to the discussion at all.

I don't think he's completely correct. Sure, there's bad takes and whatnot, but I've experienced countless positive interations on this site and I don't regret engaging/spending time in those conversations and discussions. I've also met many kind-hearted people on this site. Merely posting on vlr doesn't make you a loser.

CN Kickoff Semifinals: Edward Gaming vs Trace Esports

EDG Brief Information: Didn't actually put up as dominant of a performance against Wolves Esports as expected, but I think that could be brushed off as Wolves just being good. Good luck against TE, but if EDG plays to the standards the general populus expects from them, this should be a comfortable series.

TE Brief Information: Trace Esports is most certainly a regional heavyweight. Having won Play-Ins by a hair's breadth, they just barely managed to scrape by BLG with two overtime map wins making up for their 11-13 loss on Lotus. I hope they aren't burned out because they're about to face the reigning champions of China.

EDG Players to Watch: Every member in EDG is worth scrutinizing but Zmjjkk for sure.

TE Players to Watch: FengF is a great player most of the time, and when he shows up the entirety of TE shows up.

Prediction: EDG should look to take this 2-0 and prove that they still are the Chinese superteam we expect them to be.

CN Kickoff Semifinals: Dragon Ranger Gaming vs Funplus Phoenix

DRG Brief Information: Ascension winners, seed 1 out of Group B. Having played an amazing series against TEC, DRG came out on top in what I would call quite the close affair. While the scoreline doesn't show it, the series against TEC was phenomenal (imo as a viewer), and DRG played really well against them and were the better team. I look forward to what these lads can do in this tough encounter against Funplus Phoenix.

FPX Brief Information: A series that the scoreline does highlight is the series FPX played against Trace Esports. In a close, end-to-end competitive series, FPX squeezed past TE to avoid the torture of Play-Ins, and are now up against a rising team in the CN scene. Will their players show up and finally grab a ticket to the finals, or AAAAY continue to lament as they are sent home by the Dragon Rangers? Stay tuned!

DRG Players to Watch: vo0kashu forever goat sentinel, and TvirusLuke is also a great duelist to keep an eye out for

FPX Players to Watch: AAAAY is great, Life and Autumn are great fraggers who might be able to get some clips in.

Prediction: Very difficult to pick between the two based on current form but I think that FPX should look to take this 2-1. Regardless, I'm expecting a highly competitive series from two highly competitive teams.

1 country region but region nonetheless. It may seem unfair but given the sheer size of the Chinese esport population it only makes sense.

I think TE should have this but I can’t lie that BLG is looking much better. If they ride the momentum from their win against TEC they might very well stand a good chance. But TE looks great right now and I’d consider them favorites.

I haven’t watched VODs tho so I can’t be certain

I think it's pretty fair. I would've gone with a 2-1 TE win but I can also see TEC taking this series.

TBD right now, but I can't imagine BLG winning this one.

Wolves. The physics teacher at my school got injured during an encounter with one and as far as I'm aware those are the only "dangerous" animal around here. There's also a bunch of nutria around here but they don't do much.
