PRX was really fun to watch, but was it worth the heartbreak? (and multiple times too....)

To get out of silver, just have good aim, and focus PURELY on taking gunfights and playing with your team. (By that I mean make sure they can trade you or you can trade them)
I have an alt(that actually used to be my main which is why it's called doomvor and not my alt) that was in silver for a while to play with friends(they finally started to rank up, thank god), and I can tell, just turn off your brain and shoot them.
Silvers will not play good valorant. They will do dumb stuff because they don't know any better. So, don't think about what they will do, and it's easy from there.
It's just so fucking annoying watching them from their original days
now It's just players trying to do stuff on their own with absolutely nothing to support it
they're trying to cook cool comps with air
It just looks so messed up and uncoordianted
what made #WGAMING work was they way it was a five man effort
yes something/jinggg is going in alone but there is always the utility to support and the trade potential
but now it's just people trying too much to do something cool
there is nothing new that is cooked up
stop you don't have to rub it in anymore :(
let me suffer in peace
I don't think we need a list for me, it's obvious :(
(sigh, I honestly don't even know if PRX will stay good....)
the time it takes for a motion on your mouse to show on your monitor
but realistically there is basically no difference (for me at least)
Technically, a higher DPI is supposed decrease mouse latency
realistically, I don't think there is any difference
Wait, what the heck counts as high sens?
I play 0.4 800dpi and thought that was normal
Only two right in playoffs for me....
wrong link guys he posted it wrong
But letting your worst map be played could also just as easily count as a 1-0...
It depends on how strong you are on your weakest map vs their best map
he also just had an amazing year on sentinel...
I genuinely think Jawgemo would look like the best player in the world with support players as strong as G2. Give him props for the form he managed to show during Splits 1 & 2 despite being a one man show for the majority of rounds.
That is all true, I heavily agree. Jawgemo would probably look really good with G2.
But it still doesn't answer point one, which we can't know.
Would Jawgemo be a good fit on G2, and be willing to play G2's style?
We don't know what goes on behind the scenes, which is why we can only guess.
We don't even know if Jawgemo is interested in playing for G2 or leaving EG(from what I know, sorry if this wrong)
Jawg also has experience with flashers
No? He has barely played Skye and Kayo and hasn't at all in the past 90 days.
Their Permaban issue is straight up a Leaf flexibility concern. He needs to pick up Cypher and get good at it yesterday.
Heavily agree.
I agree, but how hard is it to learn cypher on one map? Just to be decent at him, not even anything amazing.
shit I forgot, thanks
can Leaf not learn cypher???
Cypher is kinda just a more aggressive KJ(imo)
It happens, everyone decent can hit a 1v2 once in a while
Really? Who would you suggest?
The one very common name thrown around is Jawgewmo, but he has never played Yoru and he barely plays jett nowadays. I also don't think he has played gekko either.
G2's permaban has been sunset(not sure why, but okay), meaning banning icebox isn't great unless they learn sunset.
The two problems with G2 acquiring a new player are always:
Would said player be able to understand and play to G2's structure?
Most "superstars" are duelists, but G2 is a heavily util based team. icy only played Raze and Yoru on duelist(edit: in champs). Both of them provide value outside of just getting kills. Boombot for info, nade for trap plays and denial. Yoru can flash for team and also allow for instant rotates. Jett/Reyna doesn't have this util.
Why is it always "drop icy because bad performance"???
G2 is not a performance based team. They do not rely on a superstar. They are arguably the most structured team in VCT and therefore can almost always play well even without a superstar. The problem is when said structure falls apart.
Take PRX vs G2. PRX has a team full of aimers. Outside of icy life game, I'd say most/all of PRX outaims most/all of G2 on a normal day. But because of said structure from G2, they still easily won.
But if you watch these current matches, teams are learning to not give G2 this structure. Force 1v1s and 2v2s, don't let them suffocate you with util and 2v1s.
It is a playstyle problem, not player.
APAC:
t3xture(duelist)
Munchkin(senti, IGL)
f0rsaken(flex, secondary caller)
d4v41(init, can also flex if needed)
Mako/Karon/mindfreak(it doesnt really matter)(smokes)
I'd also love to see something over texture, but that's just my bias(also he counts as a import
If they need to comm in the same language then uh...
Just use Gen.G
why does this slap so fucking hard what
Weird comps don't really work. They can be a good surprise, or be good if there is a lot of reasoning behind it, but they aren't good long term.
Sage basically accomplishes what Gekko does on Icebox. They don't need gecko on that map.
Raze or even Neon is the generally better pick on Sunset.
True, but f0rsaken was a good Sova before, amd he should still be at least decent on him.
I don't really see the point in gekko, what map do you want gekko but something is playing Jett?
My personal take on PRX's role issues is to have Jinggg learn KJ/Cypher, amd then run a more meta comp but switch a few things to keep it aggressive.
For example, on Ascent, run:
Jett - something
KAYO - d4v41
Skye - f0rsaken
KJ/Cypher(whichever they prefer) - Jinggg
Omen - mindfreak
PRX can still absolutely run it down with the double flash init, but you have more consistent info finding and are able to change up the pace a lot better
Sentinel is not too hard to learn, Jinggg could probably be decent at it at worst.
Meta comps exist for a reason, and playing similar to it is the safe play. Buy switching one agent for something similar that lets PRX still run it down is imo the best way to keep #WGAMING and hopefully still have a good chance to win something.
brain fart sorry =/
I think lack of experience is going to cause their failure
they are mostly new players with little experience in do-or-die situations, and I think they will crumble under the pressure
but yeah, I do see them going far
edit: For example, the only map that has been close is DRX vs FNC Abyss, where they won 13-11.
The three rookies were the three worst players on DRX, though tbf they did carry their own weight
https://www.vlr.gg/378658/fnatic-vs-drx-valorant-champions-2024-winners-a/?game=180360&tab=overview
they aren't for 99% of people
but for some people they are
(like me :)
also I think they misread and just put top 3 teams at champs rn, not most fun to watch
It's because 90% of PRX fans are horrible.
It's even worse on twitter
I still think going Phantom/Vandal is the better choice :)
(though kinda purely because a PRX Vandal would be dope)
S - Karon (C)
A - f0rsaken (F)
B - Trent (I)
C - Icy (D)
D - Kai (S)
Interesting team idea imo, but I think if they pop off and play well they could do damage
find a good duo is my suggestion
worst case scenario you can mute everyone else and still have a good time
no
C0M has looked like shit this entire year for the most part
It depends.
Some of us(I'd like to say including me but idk) are nice. We try to be reasonable but are still hyped for PRX. It's the baiters and Twitter fans that are annoying af
I guess you could look at it that way.
It's okay, PRX will bounce back in the LB trust :)
Yeah, this I'd why I was talking about how you underrated G2 way too much. Their coordination is crazy...
If it doesn't go to three maps, they both better be close or one team will have sorely disappointed
PRX have looked so good on sunset, I have no idea how this sage comp isn't being countered yet...
But yeah, I agree, I don't think the mental applies to in game.
It will be very fun game to watch tmrw
this is what everyone can agree on <3
yeah, but simple math:
five aim demons > one god demon + one aim demon + 3 somewhat aim demons :)
(okay i have no idea what i'm yapping about now)
APAC? nah
Gen.G, DRX, and PRX all make sense
Talon gives a chance for an underdog to try :)
(also i love watching primmie)
